Have you experience any higher prices in the last month?

democrats have been screaming that the tariffs President Trump imposed on foreign countries will result in higher prices. I have seen the price of gas go down every week. I paid $2.83/gallon last week, the lowest amount since Trump's first term. The price of eggs has gone down from $6.50/dozen to $4.00 last week. i have not seen the prices of anything go up. With lower gas prices I expect an even lower rate of inflation.

I have not. I've experienced lower prices. Although I do know a few people who have had their 401ks drop in value. That's a pretty scary place to be if you're right about to retire.

Mine has gone down but just a little. Way less than it did 4 years ago.

Yeah... How fast Trump has been moving makes me nervous, but I'm well aware that he has information and knowledge about this situation that I don't.

If the "adults" in the room knew anything about anything, they wouldn't have destroyed the world. I'm comfortable letting a kid take charge for a while.

@ProbablyClueless President Trump has had 4 years to think about what he will do to fix the country. Some policies are as simple as doing what Biden did , only in reverse but the situation with tariffs is uncharted territory.
He has been is a tough business all his life and he does have inside information an a lot of countries. He cannot run for re-election and the Republican could lose majorities in congress so he is moving fast.

Shipping costs from Merchandise from China has made prices go up very high from what they were.

It's from online shopping. I heard that it's affecting Amazon.

@sage2021 what was gas 3 months ago? I know where you live it is always higher than the rest of the country. Itwas 3.59/gal last December and last week it was 2.83. Still a ways to go to get back to1.99 but the price of crude is down to 62 dollars a barrel , the lowest in years.
I hardly ever shop on line but my wife has not mentioned any price spikes.

It just started when China got hit with such high tariffs. So many things we buy in the stores come from China and now they just can't ship merchandise to America as cheap as it was, so shipping costs are added to the things we buy online and naturally it costs more now.

I try to buy things made in USA. They may be be little more expensive but I get a lot more use out of something made in America that a cheap Chinese knock off.

Maybe if the United States made more things in America then I would buy it. But I rarely see anything at all with the American flag on it and saying "Made in America". 🤷🏼‍♀️

I do a lot of shopping on eBay and usually they have free shipping but not anymore so Trump's tariffs are costing people like me too much so I can't afford to buy the things I was able to buy before.

@sage2021 What do tariffs have to do with eBay stopping free shipping? It sounds more like an eBay issue to me. Maybe they are ripping you off and blaming Trump.

You already know that Trump's tariffs are effecting something somewhere right? Well it costs a lot more money to ship things from China now and the sellers on eBay aren't going to be able to afford giving us free shipping anymore because it will put them out of business! They are just regular people who sell things on eBay not a company.

@sage2021 So eBay absorbs the tariff and tries to make up for it by charging for shipping? I guess that is smart for the short term but you have already figured it out and so will others.

Everything I've seen that was going up was during Biden and just hasn't changed. I buy specialized weight lifting gear so... It's not exactly anything you people usually care about.

Not really. Prices at the grocery store haven't changed much. Eggs are a bit cheaper, and gasoline is down.
