Whats the craziest price increase you've encountered lately?

i was at a pita place for lunch the other day , got a small pita which was $11 , often get 2 cookies as a snack too.

when i bought them last a couple months ago they were like $2.50 add on but yesterday suddenly they were $4.50 plus tax and there like small cookies , similar to subway but not as big

so my bill was like $17 and i told cashier i had never paid that much for this order and she said they raised the price of some items ( not the pita it was same price ) so told her to cancel the cookies as they added $5 to my bill and not worth that much

you can often buy an entire box of cookies here for like $2.99 or $3.99 when there on sale , who do they think is going to actually pay $5 more for 2 little cookies with there pita

Wal-Mart used to sell stretchable black pants that fit every season, every style, were easy to wash, were hypoallergenic, could be worn with weight gains or losses of over 25 pounds and cost $10-15 and now their pants are no longer stretchable, no longer matching with all tops you might wear, and cost $30 to buy, as well as not lasting as long due to their hardened appearance and lack of versatility with wear and tear or functional stretching or weight loss.

Everything has come down in price here except groceries. Those prices seem to be heading in the other direction.

Stopped at McDonald's on a road trip (because of our son!) One Happy Meal, plus and an extra fries for him, two medium chicken sandwich meals for me and my wife, just under $35.

prices at mcdonalds have got crazy here , i try and avoid it now unless i have coupons or a special is on.
pretty sure a 6 nugget combo with tax was around $14 or $15 , like $14 for 6 nuggets a few fries and a drink? really

I only go there because of my son, fast food previously was relegated to road trip or needing something fast, or nastalga. My wife and prefer Wendy's or Burger King out of the big chains. However, my sone only has eyes for McDonalds, because of the happy meal toys, lol

i live in Canada , we never really saw crazy price increases for eggs , but is other items in the grocery stores that have seen crazy increases in recent years

i know a pack of hot dogs that used to be like $5.99 a few years ago is $10 , baked goods also seem to be a lot more expensive
