Have you ever had a car without a center console?

Picking up my new car this weekend but... it doesn't have a center console... it is smaller than my current car and I can see online that you can buy center consoles to fit yourself for as little as $40 so not bad at all. Im definitely the type to keep hand cream, tissues, wet wipes, lip balm, pens and note pad in there... so if I can't find a better option to store all those things I think I'll have to buy one.

I've owned a couple of vehicles without a center console. Any vehicle with a bench seat, or 60/40 split front seats, really.

I'd say that about half of the vehicles I've own, roughly, did not come with one. A couple of trucks, and a few full size sedans.

I don't generally carry much with me, so it's never really been an inconvenience for me, and I actually prefer the added room and comfort that comes from not having them.

lol... this reminds me of the very first time I actually got into a Mustang, which, was my girlfriends' car and... just how small it was all in there, and I am not the tallest guy out there either, but for a daily drive, I do not prefer seats that are too compact but anyway

good thing that the console is quite affordable and you can actually get it and place it yourself... is the "little things" that make an every day drive to be much more better and worth it... I've been going with Uber rides since the pandemia days, and the cars are only getting smaller every month, lmao so I am starting to change my mind about how convenient they are and I might just get my Jeep back, lol

I had a Honda Civic in the 1990s that didn't have a center console. The hand brake was between the seats.

Oh yeah the whole centre thing is relatively new to the entire scenario.

And when those things became more common, I already had shifted to 2-wheelers.

Yes, I've had a few vintage old bench seat, 6 - passenger 4 door cars from the 70's with no console at all.

It's an MG3. Small car so I understand why its not standard

@DryGermanGuy I haven't done much research into where it's made but it was a car that has all the things we want for an affordable price. Especially considering it's brand new so has a 10 year warranty
