If so what was the reason? accident, incorrect parking or malfunction. What was the result?

Of course.
On my old Toyota 4x4, which was pressed into service as a work truck for years, eventually broke the clutch pedal bracket from so much driving in stop and go traffic.
My current work van nuked it's transmission at 260,000 miles, and the replacement less than 9 months later - thankfully under warranty.
I also was going to a job up in the mountains as a passenger in my boss's GMC Yukon and the engine blew - as in, a big hole in the engine block and oil everywhere.
So, yeah, things happen.
I've been in a couple accidents (none my fault) and had my car towed to be fixed.
Thanks for the mho

yes, a few times. One time I was parked at a loading dock and somebody was going to tow my car. I jumped in it because it is illegal to tow a car with somebody sitting in it. The tow truck guy told me i had to get out and i refused. He called the cops. Two cops showed up and I knew both of them, They told the tow truck guy that it was on private property and they had no authority to do anything. I had my schoolbooks in the car with me so I just sat there and read one of my books. I told the guy i could sit there all afternoon. The guy's boss showed up and gave him a hard time for letting me get back in the car. But he knew he was beat so he had to take the tow chains off my car and then he left.
About a month ago my shifter went & luckily it happened at work & not on the highway. I called roadside assistance & I had them tow my vehicle to a garage & I ended up renting a car for a few days until my SUV got fixed.
The rental vehicle was a Nissan Sentra & my vehicle is a Nissan Xterra.
yea i was using a government car on a state sponsored trip a few years ago and it broke down in the middle of nowhere, the amount of paperwork we had to do to get to basic repairs since it was owned by the feds was insane
Yes, all of the above. Either had work done or went to impound to get it back.
Failed starter. Towed to my apartment. Paid the guy. Had a mobile mechanic come out and replace the starter a couple days later.
Hell, two of my cars came home on a flatbed the day I bought them.
I suppose the time we hit the deer with my Dodge Shadow up in the middle of the upper peninsula would count too, as well as the time that old lady broadsided that same car a couple years later. That thing had a rough life, lol.
Also one time my Buick Riviera had to get a tow, when the crank position sensor went tango uniform. And one time I was just plain lazy on a hot day, and had the vette towed home one mile, just so I could replace the HEI ignition module in the shade.
Hey, does an enclosed car hauler count? My 2010 Camaro had literally been towed more miles than it had been driven when I bought it last spring. It had only 3600 miles on the odometer, and it had been hauled all the way from Rhode Island to Texas and back, 3800 miles. But the original owner had upwards of $40,000 worth of work done on it at Hennessey, so the transport bill wasn't a huge deal to him I guess :)
Nope.
