Birthday- or Christmas-gift for an military veteran?

Hi.

I am looking for a gift for a grown man. Over 50, highly skilled US Army Veteran, musician (guitar, singer). Likes Quality & quantity. Kreative. Intelligent. Has worked his way up from the bottom to the top. What is typical - not anything trash or dust catcher - no unseless thing, what can you recommend?

My normal ideas are not right as a book - I guess he don't read - or a puzzle wustomized with a nice photo - or manufactured chocolate or whisky - the good one is too expensive for me to buy. Or a CD - I don't know what music he likes or what good bands are. I don't find anything useful from brands like fender or Gibson. So I really don't have any ideas.

Ok I now have some ideas. Try to find a shirt from 100% cotton and sew the logo of Fender or Gibson or the band he founded on a pillow. Only finding a shirt I could take. Find some but weren't in a good condition. Baumkuchen or Ruby chocolate were on my brain storming list.

Yes, and if I were an outstanding stripper with a certificate and diploma, who was also a fabulous cook who could serve a four-course meal perfectly without any disasters, then I would have him wrapped around my finger. Realistically, I admit that I am neither one nor the other.
