A business has great products. But none of them gets sold and sales start very slowly and have low customers even if they appreciate products. Why?

Lack of adequate marketing or of product awareness within the market.

Here's a perfect example.

Yesterday, my wife and I ate at a pizzeria that was new to us. It was only 11 miles away (we live in rural Missouri) and had the kind of pizza we like - NY-style. In the past few years, we rarely drove by the area where this pizzeria is located. I asked about how long the place has been around to the waitress serving us and she said 2 years. Before 2 days ago, neither of us was aware of this pizzeria. I just happened to discover it because the owner is also a member of a local Facebook group that we are a member of. It so happened that, the other day, customers FLEW to his pizzeria in a helicopter! They posted on Facebook about it and I saw it pop up in my Facebook New Feed. I then looked at their FB profile page and followed the link to their website. I was very encouraged by what I saw and kept this in the back of my mind for the next time my wife wanted pizza. So, yesterday, my wife had a bad day and needed to get out of the house. I suggested trying this place and she was game, so we did and loved it and plan of becoming regulars...

... but this is all because I accidentally discovered the place due to a Facebook post by them that happened to show up in my FB News Feed. Had I not seen that, I likely never would have known about the pizzeria. It would have been our loss and theirs! We did talk with the owner and he said he doesn't advertise but that most of his customers are regulars (like we plan to be) but he does appreciate Facebook shares, so his advertising plan is really word-of-mouth / social media.

I hope this business makes it. My wife who is native here (I am not) said that building where the pizzeria is located has had a lot of failed businesses over the years.
