What are your best hacks to add character to a clean, minimal room?

If you’re keeping it minimal, that IS the character. Otherwise, you need to maximalize and get some knick knacks
Just basically copy that picture 🖼️ do away with the downhill brown couch though - and other hipster junk
The bed is good - layout otherwise good - but some crap has to go
I'd rather no trunk / no coffee table to stub toes at night or day
Basically the bed 🛏️ is the only saving grace so far for me 😋😅
That room looks nice! I'm not a designer but I don't think you'd need to add much to that room
Love this. Minimal doesn’t have to mean boring at all ✨
Try adding one or two standout pieces: a statement lamp, an interesting chair, or a large framed print. Use texture more than color: a chunky knit throw, linen cushions, a soft rug. Keep a tight color palette, then bring personality with books, a candle, a plant, or a small tray with your favorite everyday items beautifully arranged.

New paint and carpet. A simple color change can make all the difference.
Add a clock/timepiece. Grow some plants. Have a little bookshelf.
