Not for many years. My family used to go on vacations to Cape Cod when I was a teenager, and there was a drive-in movie theater that doubled as a huge flea market lot by day. I used to love rummaging around there. I used to get chains, cologne, pocketknives, all kinds of cool shit I would’ve been into from like 12-17.

I used to love buying sports cards there too. I remember buying an entire box of Classic 1994 NFL Draft Pick cards, and it looks like I did it again in 1995. Ended up with some future Hall Of Famers, and these are undoubtedly worth upwards of six dollars now😂

Also bought some Desert Storm trading cards there. If anyone has a George H. W. Bush and a Saddam Hussein, I’d be willing to trade you a Pentagon, a Vice President Dan Quayle, a Colin Powell/Norman Schwarzkopf “Top Brass”, and a very rare King Fahd Bin Abdulaziz, straight up….

Swap meets and flea markets many times. Some are quite large. I have bought things but no actual treasures.
My wife and I did buy a large, flat, beautifully painted, metal sun hanging to put on the wall of our front porch. I do love that. We bought some cool bird feeders on iron shepherds hooks, one time, too. And we have bought garden ornaments.

I used to go every weekend. It was 3 blocks from my house. Got lots of great fleas!!
One woman there used to sell t-shirts her company printed and she'd always save all the Beatles stuff for me.

Yeah! One time I went and some woman had a few hundred records she was selling and I asked her how much she wanted for the whole bunch, she said, "$10.00." So, I took them all and then she said she's got a few hundred more at her house that I can also have!!

So far, I'm keeping all of them. Most were soul... she was black and her son used to work at a record distributor that filled jukeboxes in black bars. I was in the middle of cleaning them up and listening to them when my ex-sisters had me kicked out of my house.

I have been to some. You can always tell where somebody works by what they are selling at a flea market. I remember buying Gillette razor blades at a flea market for about half what it costs in the store. Obviously they were stolen.

Yes, the Gillette plant is near where I used ot work. I imagine the guy selling them worked there an somehow a case of them fell off a truck.

Well... many things had accumulated at home over time. Also Grandpa's house was 'overflowing'. So I got me a slot in a local regular 'flea market' (you just pay a fee, and turn up with your stuff. Put it on the ground or on folding tables). There were indeed people interested in some of the stuff. These weren't ''treasures'' in a traditional meaning, but several were ''unusual'' or ''uncommon''. Such as some ""Reichsmark Bank Notes'', a functional transistor radio from the 70's, ''Quartett'' playing card decks, LEGO bricks from the 60's...
It did not make me rich, but it was fun.

Paid $10 for a heat transfer engraving machine. Eventually sold it for $300 which paid for a weekend trip.
