Does it mean anything if a guy remembers a girl's birthday without any reminders?

This guy and I used to really like each other, but he had to move states for work so we never got to be together. We ended up ending our friendship because it was too painful to talk to each other and not be able to be together. We haven't spoken in months. The other day it was my birthday. He sent me a Happy Birthday text for my birthday. I was just wondering if it could mean anything that he remembered? My birthday is not listed on Facebook or anywhere else. Do guys normally remember girl's birthdays from their own memory? I remembered his birthday, but that was only because I still liked him.

Some guys are good with numbers. Maybe he simply remembered it because it because your birthday coincides with some other annual event and he suddenly remembered. But most likely he had you you programmed into his calendar on his cell phone and it beeped, and he sendt a message.

Im terrible with birthdays and need to set a reminder on Facebook or on my phone for people I really care about. If he didn't see this on Facebook, it may mean he has it set on his phone as he cares. Or maybe a diary? Whatever way, the fact that he noted your birthday and sent a text means he genuinely cares for you.

Because he likes you lots. There are some people I care for, recall their birthdays. Because I like them, want them in my life and am sure we will never be more than good friends.

Most probably he likes you too. Even if he remembered it because of any other yearly event, (which is not possibly the case cuz its quite rare) he made an effort to wish you, this means he cares for you. I don't remember anyones birthday except for my family's but there's one girl i like and i know her and only her's birthday not even my best frnd's.
