Some of my Favorite Rock Songs! Part 1

Some of my Favorite Rock Songs! Part 1

I love music, I suppose lots of people do but I find it to be a good escape. I think there's probably a song for every mood someone could be feeling in that moment. I love all types of music and many different songs but I decided it would fun to list some of my favorite rock songs. The list got a little bigger then I imagined lol, so I'm doing it in two parts. Here's part one of some of my favorite rock songs. Feel free to list your favorites as well. Thanks :)

1. Aerosmith - Dream on (Year 1973)

2. The Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil (Year 1969)

3. Led Zeppelin - Kashmir (Year 1975)

4. Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall (Year 1979)

5. Iron Butterfly - In- A- Gadda- Da- Vida (Year 1968 )

6. Queen - We Will Rock You / We Are the Champions ( Year 1977 )

7. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (Year 1975 )

  • YES. I love all these songs! Great choice. I may say though that Whole Lotta Love is my favorite Led Zeppelin song. Heartbreaker has the most epic solo from them however. Moby Dick has the best drum solo. I'm glad you didn't put Stairway to Heaven. That song is waaayy overplayed and overhyped.

No Jimi Hendrix though-- Not a fan? (Technically he is mostly blues based but meh, I still think he rocked). I don't like Boston so I don't mind you didn't put them haha

And some of my favorite older rock songs (mostly 70s) that I think go with this list would be...
    Fire by Jimi Hendrix

Radar Love by Golden Earring -- This song inspired me to get into music

    La Grange - ZZ Top

Turn the Page - Bob Seger

    Bad Company - Bad Company
Or a my personal favorite drum song of all time from the 90s...
    Spoonman - Soundgarden

    • Thanks and I do like Jimi Hendrix, actually have if I have a son someday I want to name him Hendrix lol. I just wanted to list some of my favorites, but this doesn't even cover half of the artists I like from all different genre's of music. There's also a part two of my favorite songs I put up.

As far as the songs you put up, I like that Jimi Hendrix song and that song by Golden Earring and I've heard of that ZZ top song but I don't know it. My favorite ZZ top songs are Sharp Dressed Man, Cheap Sunglasses and that one they played in that movie the Santa Clause with Tim Allen, but I can't remember the name of it lol. You have good music taste for a youngin lol.

  • You have great taste. I love these songs as well. Though here are some of my favorites and alternates (or more lesser known yet fantastic cuts) by the same bands and from others. I mostly like stuff from 1965-1978, as once you go beyond that it got either very commercial (with obvious rare exceptions), or the creative genius was mostly gone.
Aerosmith - Lord Of The Thighs, Pandora's Box (from Get Your Wings album)
Rolling Stones - Miss You, Beast Of Burden (from Some Girls)
Led Zeppelin - The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Stairway To Heaven (from their 4th album)
Pink Floyd - Time/The Great Gig In The Sky (from The Dark Side Of The Moon)
Queen - Your My Best Friend, Somebody To Love (from Night At The Opera)
The Who - Another Tricky Day (from Face Dances)
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long (from Back In Black)
Santana - Curacion (Sunlight On Water) (from Ceremony - Remixes and Rarities)
Heart - Magic Man, Soul Of The Sea (from Dreamboat Annie)
Pat Benatar - One Love (from Wide Awake In Dreamland)
The Clash - Car Jamming (from Combat Rock)
Steely Dan - Josie, Aja (from Aja)
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers - Refugee, Don't Do Me Like That (from Damn The Torpedoes)
Fleetwood Mac - Dreams, You Make Loving Fun, Gold Dust Woman (from Rumours)
Yes - Turn Of The Century, Awaken (from Going For The One)
Steve Miller Band - The Stake, Jet Airliner (from Book Of Dreams)
Peter Frampton - Do You Feel Like We Do?, Lines On My Face (from Frampton Comes Alive)
The Doors - Break On Through, The Crystal Ship (from debut album)

  • Amazingly great taste in tunage. you didn't list one single song that I don't like. kudos on your great taste

  • Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away (Year 1999)

Led Zeppelin - When The Levee Breaks (Year 1971)

    R. E. M - The One I Love (Year 1987)

Alice in Chains - Down in a Hole (Year 1992)

Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe (Year 1981)

  • I like baby from justin beiber.
Its the best rock song ever, beliebe it or not.

  • Good Taste Approved!

I have Queen's "Play the Game" stuck in my head right now.

    • I've never heard that song before, was it any good?

    • Show All
    • Well I guess I should've said 70's too. But Queen kept going through the 80's, like lots of bands that started in the 70's. And there are a shitload of 80's music fans still, it's probably the most popular music era besides modern day.
Too many songs to think of lol.

    • Haha, okay. No problem.

  • You are cool. I like them all and many more xD

  • I bow to u with respect to ur great music taste I LOVE classic rock
