“We are no less valuable at 200 lbs as we are at 120 lbs. We are no less valuable because you told us we weren’t. We have just as much potential as a size 14 as we do as a size 2. How dare you make anyone feel any differently?”
--> exactly. Tons of people treat overweight people like lower class human beings. Why?
"I suffer from anxiety and depression, and your page did not help me. It put me into a downward spiral from which I struggled to pull myself out"
--> many overweight people overeat when they are feeling down. They eat in order to "fill a hole in their lives/hearts". Fatshaming them and saying mean things to them is just ging to drive them straight to that extra 1000 calories in that tub of ice cream. Many overweight people have psychological problems or wrong relationships with food. So you bullying them, judging them, and hurting their feelings would definitely not help, but only make them worse.
I'm not saying that you should say obesity is OK. I'm just saying that you fatshamers should stop what you're doing and just let them live their own lives. Be a decent human being and don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong (someone else's life). Be Kind to everyone (or at least don't adress things they're probably already insecure of), for everyone is fighting their own wars.

I agree with this 100%.
That type of "negative reinforcement " isn't effective at all, and is just used for others to feel superior over someone else.
Agreed. People should stop slutshaming for the very same reason.
