When a company does something they do it because it helps them to sell more products. That's all they care about, and if it doesn't do that they don't do it. You might find it pointless but there's a reason they do it - it sells.
I agree with you. I don't think producers are really trying to brainwash you. They just try to cater to what they think you want to buy. I don't conform to this stuff either.
It's all in marketing and demographics. They know these things sell, so they make gendered products to make a buck. It may seem weird to see a product that can be used by all to be made for a woman or just a man, but companies know they sell.

It's all about marketing. These businesses only give a shit about gendered products because they sell. Once people stop buying them, they will stop making them...
I can see your frustration but, you must have had to do research to make urself mad, because i haven't seen such products.
