I've witnessed many skinny s being harassed but it's usually what most people like and chubby people are way more bullied throughout all life stages
whatever body you have there are always prople that like it and people that don't, so why not just have the body you want as you'll find people who like you however you are? xD
Yup, there is hypocrisy for sure and double standards.
P. S -
LOL... that girl looks like she has belly button lint... yuck. Why do girls wear such dumb looking piercings?
That's true, basically, the only people who are not body shamed are muscular people and tall people.
If you really think tall people aren't body shamed then you're wrong.
@Oasha How can a tall person be body shamed? Most people like tall people.
"Hey what's the weather up there?" "How are you not in the NBA yet?" and other "jokes" that people seem to find harmless. Even strangers tell them. It gets very repetitive and in the end, all I hear is "Hey, you stand out, you're different!"
The most frustrating thing is that most people wouldn't even think about telling a stranger thay they are really small. So why do it when they're really tall?
@Oasha my boyfriend experiences so much of this. He’s on the taller side at a little over 6’4ish, and with broad shoulders he’s stereotyped by strangers constantly. he’s horrible at basketball and constantly gets “omgggg you should play basketball”, or “is the air up there colder” and a lot of other giant jokes. What’s worse is that as I’m 5’3/5’4ish, random people approach us in public with either “omg you guys are sooooo adorable!!” To the more hostile “he can’t even see you im so sick of short girls taking all the tall guys” and the “wow you sure picked a tall/short person didn’t ya!”
It’s like people naturally assume we’re together just based on our heights...
@Oasha But NBA people are famous, it's not "shaming" :D
@VaIiant Oh, that's kinda sad :(
Yeah, lol.
Sadly it goes either way skinny/overweight. I mean some people can’t help it and they’re not cool
I was bullied about being skinny all through school. Especially high school. I completely understand how you feel. I'm still trying to figure out how to gain weight.
To me calling names is crossing the line. I don't call people names because of their body.
When I see stuff like this, I assume the woman to be disgustingly overweight.
Women can easily make overweight work (depending on the weight itself), but not with the "men don't like bones" mindset
Everyone gets shamed.
I get life shamed.
My dead friend got death shamed.
It's crazy.
A bunch of girls told me "you would be pretty if you gained weight" and I cried that night lol
For fucking real. And fat bitches act like they're entitled to your space when you're small too.
I'd rather be shamed for being too skinny than for being too fat. :(
I'd rather be shamed for neither. I wanna be fit and curvy. Not skinny or fat.
Because just like fat people it's unhealthy to be that skinny.
Also bigger women have usually a much bigger chance of getting shamed.
I am skinny and I love it no matter what ignorant people say. Everybody is beautiful
Thicc is beautiful skinny is beautiful
I hate body shaming and think it should be abolished, I am chunky and I have a thyroid disorder but fighting my way back to a slimmer me.
Jesus christ, I didn't think it mattered that much. Must be an American thing - big boned, too fat, no boobs, too skinny. I don't think... Most people just don't care that much.
It is safe to say everyone is shamed for something.
Everyone gets shamed about something just be confident in yourself
Although I like being skinny,. I hate it when people make comments of the type "Do you even eat?".
I agree as well! I am "underweight," and everyone is calling my a twig, a small fry, etc. Also, it annoys me that people consider huge an insult , but tiny not one.
