I disagree with #2. A sociopath can APPEAR to get better, but can easily revert back their anti-social behavior.

Granted if you're diagnosed with ASPD you should really take it with a grain of salt. I remember I had a counsellor once who thought I was in the spectrum. Smart guy, he could be right. But really, I have no problems empathizing with others, have a pretty good sense of right and wrong and feel my emotions very strongly. I just choose not to show them and to more or less try and hide them most of the time. At least make an effort to. So I just like to think of psychology as a game of dice that no one can really predict or know anything about accurately.
Take it all with a grain of salt. Even some of the oldest psychological theories have yet to be confirmed in the modern circles (namely Nietsche, he was never disproven or proven and people are still tryin'). Also Rousseau.
Honestly I think I tend to show sociopathic tendencies that I prefer not to explain and am wondering if I have ASPD.

And what about narcissists? My ex boyfriend was diagnosed with BPD and narcissism (didn’t tell me until later) and he made my life’s a living hell. At first he was really charming and then he started abusing me and I literally got addicted to him (something like Stockholm syndrome) it took me 1 year of therapy to recover from that.
Do sociopaths and psychopaths have narcissism tendencies?
We can have a combination of narcissticic behaviour and psychotic behaviour.
However, not always, the fact that you are diagnosed with ASPD does not mean that you have narcissistic behaviour.

No offense, the differences are very well explained, but in both cases, I'd avoid that person. I'd avoid you if I knew you were like that, because in both cases, I'd be at risk of something bad happening to me, more or less serious.
Tbh, that depends. Because some psychopaths are impulsive
and some are not. And the same can be said about sociopaths.
