6) On May 29, 1953 , Sir Edmund Hillary from New Zealand , and a Sherpa, Tenzing Norgay, from Nepal were the first to summit Everest
7) In 1975 Junko Tabei from Japan ,was the first woman to summit Everest
8.) The first climbers to summit Everest without supplemental bottled oxygen were Italian mountaineer Reinhold Messner with Austrian mountaineer Peter Habeler

The death zone is the high altitude area of Everest where there is not enough available oxygen for humans to breathe. This is usually above 8,000 meters , because this is where the air becomes thinner

12) The climate change is unpredictable .Air temperature can drop as low as -60°
13) Most climbers have to start using bottled oxygen at 26,000 feet.At Everest's highest point, climbers are breathing in a third of the amount of oxygen they would normally breathe due to the atmospheric pressure,so bottled oxygen is needed in order to survive

15) Green Boots Trail
"Green Boots"is the name given to a body of a climber that died on the mountain .His body became a landmark on the main Northeast ridge route of Everest.(the climber was wearing green mountain boots,hence the name "green boots" )Green Boots is located not far from Everest’s summit.It serves as a trail marker for climbers to ensure they turn to the right to reach the summit ( i didn't post an image of this ,as it is too explicit )
16) Everest expeditions last about two months.Climbers have to go through an acclimatization period,to adjust their body to a change in altitude, temperature and humidity.Their body needs to acclimatize to the thin air
17) There's over 18 routes to the summit.But most climbers use either the South Col route or the North col route.
