The K2 mountain, 28,251 feet (8,611 meters) high, is the second tallest mountain in the world,. It has been summitted only 355 times.
Has climbing Mt Everest lost its mystique?

No not at all, lots of people have climbed, but a few reach the summit, considering around 800 people try every year only a β make it to the summit. I do a little mountaineering but there is no way in hell I would ever consider attempting Everest or K2 for that matter, way too hard core for me.
I don't think so. Anyone who has scaled it is pretty hardcore in my book.

Well, it must've, if it's claiming to be taller than Mauna Kea now. Sad to see such a stately landmark falling to clickbait fights.
@NamerOfStars Everest is the tallest mountain above sea level. Mauna Kea is the tallest mountain above its base, which is very deep under water.
A six foot man in a ditch is still taller than a five foot man on a ladder. Everest is *higher*, not taller,
@NamerOfStars You are correct sir.
If it has, blame the Sherpas. They make it easy for anyone with a reasonably good fitness level and warm clothing to get at least somewhere near the summit.
It sure has in my opinion and its ridiculously expensive to begin with, not to mention the chances of dying or even getting a chance to reach the summit.
No itβs still very powerful hard to climb you have to have oxygen up there
