What is Kate Upton famous for?

I'm trying to criticize her, I just don't what she's famous for?
Until this year she wasn't really in any well known movie. She's clearly not the typical model type, very different from other famous models. She was just somehow there, somehow famous, but how did she get there?

Scarlet Johanson is also one of those who are famous for being really sexy, but a lot of people seem to forget that she actually also a really good actress, but with Kate Upton, I got nothing.

And frankly I don't think she's that stunning. Sure she's pretty and I love that she's a bit bigger and the message that sends, but I wouldn't think she could be famous for her looks only, right?

I think she look a bit above average. So is it something she does? The way she talks or acts? That makes her so popular.
Or is it just the illusion? Obviously she looks very different with Photoshop and make up. So it just that? That most people only see that?

if u see, she also was part of an snl skit, though i doubt thats what made her famous.

up until the sports illustrated cover, i didn't know who she was. thats kind of where a lot of those models have their breakout moment

on top of that, she only JUST turned 22. im 25, to put it into perspective.

in terms of her looks. she's a model, right? she's obviously got something that "average" people don't have. i got an erection just looking at the first 3 pics (tmi, yes, i know but it had to be said, to get my point across). i hate rating women, because its demeaning, but, id give her an 8/10. not too crazy about her butt area (its good, but not great). definitely someone id marry though, if given the chance

Russian or South American? Those two are quite different. From what I know her parents are American though with distant western European ancestry. I think I heard her grandfather was scottish. She does not look russian or hispanic at all. Like really not at all. Like really I'm trying to see what you see but I think she has a quite Scandinavian face

I know they actress and model on Wikipedia because they have to say something. As you said, she's not known as actress or as model.
In SNL she played herself, which means she was already famous when she was on it.

I don't doubt that most guys would find her attractive enough to date, but that's not really the standard in hollywood, is it?

I don't know what she famous for but I do know she became really popular overnight night for doing that kat daddy dance on you tube. She did it first and then other celebs tried and then other girls period and it was the craze for about 3 or 4 months cause no one could do it like she could

She doesn't a standard models body and she is heavier than the models we see in magazines, catalogs or the runway. I'm with you as far as not finding her great.

well she stands out because she is known in the world due to her fame. and her popularity grows. and then she will also get praise from the other types of people who object to skinny stick figure models because Kate has curves and fat on her but is still proud as a model and isn't afraid to show it. there are other models like her I'm sure but see that's the thing. I don't know about those other models. Kate is the popular one here. not them. she is what those types of people who don't prefer stick figure models look up to. she grabbed that seat.
