I go to my boyfriend's church but he won't go to mine?

I go to my boyfriend's church almost every week because he wants me to, despite having been going to my church since a kid, and performing music for prelude a few times a year. And when I still do that, he says he doesn't want to go and just goes to his church instead, leaving me to go by myself with no support for my performance. I don't particularly like his church, or agree with everything they say, but I go with him because it makes him happy. I wish he would do the same for me because I miss my church. How can I convince him to come with me?

There was this really funny metaphor which says, religion is like a penis, don't bring it out in public. I think how this metaphor helps in this situation here is, whatever church you both go to shouldn't really be important if it's for the sake of worshiping. On the other hand, if you really want to do something with him, why not focus on non-religious events that don't forbid displays of affection (worship and affection are separate, I'll bet you anything), say the beach, or road trip, stuff like that. If he's still keeping it separate, then he ain't a boyfriend.

Religion causing conflict (how original) just make it a give/take dnt go with him if he won't go with you..

You can't convince him unless you make him stop being such a selfish person. He's very wrong. It's meant to be give and take, but you're doing all the giving in this situation. I would stop going to his until he started coming to mine. Why would anybody give up their own things for their boyfriend, and the worst thing is he would never even consider doing the same for you. ✋ letting him mug you off
