My boyfriend’s family is religious however he isn’t. He told me he hasn’t yet told them we’re living together as they are Muslims and wouldn’t agree with it. They live abroad.

Is this just something I should ignore? It annoys me that he can’t just be honest, especially considering he’s nearly 30 years old
