Am I Leading You on? What did he mean?

While he was hugging me he asked if he was leading me in. What'd does this mean when a guy asks you this? Our friendship is a very affectionate one.

ok he said those exact words? "am I leading you on"? that might be cause for concern. if it was his intentions to lead you in the direction of romance and relationship, etc then he wouldn't need to say that because its what he wants but he asked that, could possibly mean he wants to make sure he isn't by getting a "no" answer from you ORR he just wants to know if his attempts are being successful and seeing if he is indeed leading you on. either way totally weird question to ask:P
