Tired of being called innocent? Do you get annoyed when people say you look innocent (if that happens to you)?

People always say I'm so innocent but like my thoughts are soo far from innocent.
About me:
A/B student
Virgin :) /never had a boyfriend :/
Never done drugs although I've thought about it.
Sometimes when people say I'm "so innocent" someone else will be like "nooo she's probably not that's just her appearance"
But today this girl at work said I was a saint and this guy was like yeah she's an angel look at the halo and I was like suuuurre when they kept talking about how spotless I was. And then he was like hahaha u a bad girl?
And so yeah sometimes it just really annoys me. BUT PEOPLE ALWAYS SAY I LOOK REALLY MEAN AND BITCHY SO I'M LIKE?

It's just frustrating because I can only be called cute because of this. It makes me feel like a little kid and like people (especially guys) won't take me seriously.

Here's a couple things that i guess mark me as not so innocent.
When I was younger I kissed a girl.
And I've drank a couple beers and played dirty truth or dare.
My mind is definitely not innocent.
So like i said I am not spotless

We're exactly the same! :( People say I look really pure, saintly, and virginal, which really bothers me. Lol, no one wants to be called that - it's kind of unflattering IMO. It also annoys me when people see me drink or party and they're like, "Oh my God! But you look like such a good girl!" They think I'm also delicate and can't handle doing tough stuff like sports. But apparently I also look intimidating and bitchy. So like you, I don't really understand that. I hate to be called innocent and be made the center of attention because of such a superficial judgment. It's pretty embarrassing. I'm 18 not 8 ffs, I don't want to look like an angel.

Just curious, how do you dress? It can have a huge impact on people's perception of your "innocence" :P

And I don't dress innocently! But nit like a slut either. Like. I wear croptops and short shorts it's not like I'm in turtle necks and slacks with my hair tied back in a tight bun aand shit ahahaha. And I love fashion so I dress trendy and girly.
And I don't understand the whole "awe you looks so cute and delicate" vs the "i was scared to approach you I thought you were mean"

I have had people argue over whether or not I'm innocent...
like in class one day this girl was like aww you know you look so sweet and innocent right?
And I just stared at her. So a guy jumped in and was like hell no she looks like she smokes a lot of weed.
So then they started arguing... this happens sometimes.

Oh, and another time there was this extremely attractive guy that me and my friend were talking to about buying weed from him and he did a double take and said I look "too innocent" for it.

So yeah I get it sometimes and it's annoying. I'm 18 and I look 15 -___-

Honestly I haven't tried weed because the opportunity hasn't presented itself that's all.
And this one guy wanted me to sneak out and I wanted to but just not with him and sooo many things make it impossible for me to sneak out -_-
I wish I would have snuck out but he was also my best friend's brother and she knew nothing of it. She would never forgive me if I did anything like that with him.

I've been called innocent, pure, and angel too. they know all know about the stuff I've done too... it doesn't mean anything to them since we all define it differently. just cause they treat you like a little kid doesn't mean they dont take you seriously. if anything, they give you more attention and is more willing to help you. people like us are the ones that usually get respect. you should be happy for that!

Innocence means we haven't been corrupted and hardened by the world. Hang on to it and cherish it. So many people look back fondly at a time in their lives when they were more innocent, and miss those days. Don't be in a hurry to lose your innocence.

Yea, if you look innocent or young for your age, some people don't take you as seriously at first. But they'll figure it out pretty quickly once they know you.

Truthfully I think your pretty. Innocent is sometimes a bashful word cause it implies that your not adventurous or audacious in any way. You just have to redefine the label. Be a bit more spontaneous, a bit more unexpected. Honestly tho, I'd call you cute cause you look like someone I'd like to get know. Just show them there's more to you than meets the eye.

Yea, you just have to carry yourself a little differently. Carry that "you have no fucking idea" smirk while your out and about. Also try not to be so revealing as to who you are. Make it mysterious and only allow a select few to get to know what your truly all about.

I really don't open myself up to people easily, so not a lot of people know the real me. I don't know if this comes across as just shy or mysterious.

Mysterious people are often very extroverted and expressive they just never provide insight on their identity and who they are fundamentaly as a person. Also try not to feel intimidated about doing something random. You think of something eccentric or witty shout it out, don't hold it in. You feel like doing something bold, go for it. Don't hold yourself back. That restraint is what so many people often label as innocence.

Not really. The loud extroverts I know are not myserious at all. Myserious to me is quiet, keeps to themsleves, people you've heard things about but can't figure out if they're true, people who always leave you wondering. People who no one knows much about because they keep to themselves and don't throw their business out to the world...

Yea I guess in few respects that is the stereotypical mysterious. But that's just kinda flat. A truly mysterious person has depth, they cast out a well developed outward persona. But somewhere beneath the surface lies a completely different creature.

I get called pure sometimes too, by my peers, parents' friends, and friends' parents. I don't find it annoying, but it kind of makes me feel like they don't see me as a woman but as a little, "spotless" (as you put it), goodie goodie. It also makes me feel like if I make one slip I'll be a huge embarrassment to my family.

well for one... I have an extreme knowledge of girls, two.. grew up among girls, three... dated a ton of girls. I can tell.
The reason why I said I won't take you seriously is because you would have naive expectations.
Like if I'm your boyfriend, that I will hold your hand all the time, that sex is some steamy white sheet affair, or what you think some perfect date should be...
bottom line you would have all these things in your mind of HOW things SHOULD be.. instead of how they ARE.. that is called expecting. No man wants to run around trying to make everything perfect.. no man can.
Thats why he won't take you seriously. but if you have an experience, like in situations I've heard of that a girl had an abusive bf or vice versa... they learn to appreciate a gentle caring loving bf/gf. because they know it could be worse.
