Why am I tired of being called innocent?

Hi guys I am 23 years old and even at this age I am being called innocent and transperant and I am so fed up of it coz the first thing which comes in my mind when being called innocent is "easily taken advantage of" . Someone can easily take advantage you when you are innocent. Even my best friend called my innocent in that way saying you haven't explored anything but even if I haven't explored that much is it a bad thing. I feel people won't take me seriously even at this age, sometimes I think shouldn't listen to these people but you do get affected by this and also lowers my confidence and belief in myself. I have being called innocent so many times in my life and I just don't like hearing it. innocent meaning people can easily play with your mind and stuff and I don't wanna be that person and I hate when people see me in that way itself

I don't quite agree with your definition of innocent.

That is perhaps the way you see it but to me, being innocent has a totally different meaning. I like to be called innocent because innocence can be seen in so many different possible ways.

I would like to think that I am innocent in so many different ways but I am not innocent when it comes to expressing myself and to make myself understood.

If you speak out for yourself and don't let yourself be trampled on by others, you can still be innocent but have the force of character to voice your position.

Innocence and being able to defend yourself verbally is not the same.

Everyone will change their perception of you when you change that perception of yourself. Do something that takes you out of your comfortzone. You have that belief system and you need to change it, as soon as you change self limiting beliefs your entire life changes and so do those around you. Maybe hang around new people, move to a new place and try new things.

Its not bad to be called innocent that also kinda tells u are pure hearted/minded n nice person who dont mostly bother people or do bad stuff

You answered your own question, but being innocent has nothing to do with being taken advantage of. You just need to understand boundaries. Setting boundaries prevents you to not be taken advantage of.
