Not planning on getting married and if I did not having anyone there would be awesome, no in laws or awkward conversations. As far as the funeral is concerned, once I'm dead,

either

There's nothing, in which case I won't exist so I obviously wouldn't care who's at my funeral

Or

There is some sort of existence after death, in which case I'd like to think that there are more important things to concern myself with in the afterlife than what's happening at my funeral.

So either way it doesn't matter.

Yeah, I mean I would want people to celebrate my marriage (unless it fails miserably), but still. I want my family and friends to share in a happy moment with me, not a sad one. Also, if people didn't show up to my funeral, it could be because they are filled with grief and not just because they couldn't be bothered to show up.
