Definitely not a rule. Not all guys prefer blondes, and slme men prefer big brown doe eyes to blue ones. Sure Blondes with blue eyes can be pretty, but there are lots of pretty types of ladies aside from them, and those attributes are not inherently better in my opinion.

The media does portray them as sex symbols, and the criteria to be on Australian TV (barring SBS/ABC) is that you MUST be Caucasian, preferably North European. Hence, the blonde hair/blue eyes combo is what's seen on TV and what's worshipped by the gullible.
