Why are musicians such flakes?

I play guitar, bass, cigar box guitar... stomp box. IM not a flake, If I say ill be somewhere ILL BE THERE, unless something crazy happens in which case, ill let someone know asap.

All my musician friends on the other hand are so hard to get together for a session. And they dont do shit! lol.

Not all musicians are flakes, but the ones who don't take their art seriously enough (even just for fun) will flake.

This most likely translates to other parts of their lives and has little to do with them being a musician.

I can be this way sometimes and am trying to improve upon it.

Yeah my friends and I have been talking about starting a band together for like a year... the thing is, we only know guitarists and bassists. No drummers or singers.

Damn, where I live, its "singers" guitarists and drummers... Im always stuck playing bass because im the only one who can rip on one in my area.

Yeah luckily my best friend plays bass, and he's the only one I know around here.

The only ones who are most likely not flakey are classical musicians. Probably because they take it more seriously.

I can agree with you on that one. Its just not my cup of tea :/ I like blues, reggae, fingerpicking, classic rock...

I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! I'm sitting over here busting my ass on the cello, and when I want to play something for fun, people flake out! Try maybe going to music workshops, or see if you can get into summer camps with the instruments you play.
