Why do women scream and men don't? Do you men scream, ever?

When women get a fright or see someting bad happen, why do they automatically scream, but men dont?

Guys do you ever scream if you get a fright or see something bad happen? If you don't, why don't you?

It's in our DNA, in general, we can deal with "survival" better than women.
So when faced with danger and life threats we remain in control and don't lose our nerves so we can deal with it.
Woman are more emotional and usually cannot handle such situations, they automatically scream and cry

Well, ok. In general terms, women are more vocal about their emotions than men are. Men on the other hand are more logical in their approach to things. So I imagine that if some sort of incident like that occurred, women would be more inclined to express their distress through a scream for this example, while men would be more levelheaded and think about how they should act according to the situation at hand.

I used to study evolutionary psychology and based on my understanding my answer would be this:

In tribal times women more often than not took on the role of nurturer and raised children and cared for the sick/injured. Men more often took on the role of hunter/fighter.

When a women screams she is alerting the males in her tribe that she is in danger so they can come assist her. However, if a man where to have the natural instinct to scream, alert his pray giving them time to escape or alert the enemy to his position placing him in danger.

And also a woman screaming alerts children are in danger and she's crying for them as well. In many times also the woman was weaker. I don't believe in this anymore but she tends to get hurt. So yeah you hear a woman scream.
If a man screamed they would be in trouble as in ^^alerting his enemy or in some places showing weakness was gay. And gay was wrong. And again Idon't believe tthat. But many men were hurt.

In bed men don't necessarily "scream" they do groan. I think that's hotter. I mean girls are annoying when they shrill.

@skinnylovexbirdy I think this is an interesting theory, because it makes sense in some way from how humanity survived in the primitive era. Children regardless of gender are also more likely to scream when they are in danger as an instinct because they are more vulnerable to physical danger than adults. However I don't think there's anything wrong with men screaming if they are scared or in pain but due to societal expectations it's assumed that men are supposed to be fearless and not scream, while women are more allowed to express themselves.

Not really. Everyone has fight-flight reflexes, regardless of gender, I'm just saying that there could be a difference in how the male brain handles that stimulus and how the female brain handles it. I'm not really sure what it could be since I'm not a biologist or neurologist. But it's a possibility.

Some guys do, but in general guys are more reserved. It's probably an evolutionary thing. Maybe when men were hunting animals, the guys that screamed got found out and killed by some giant beast. The women were just taking care of the kids and searching for berries.
