Some Americans are so barbaric. I guess some don't realize there's supposed to be an actual point of jail: to get better so you can return to society. Just like there are functioning and non functioning alcoholics, there are functioning and non functioning pedophiles. Not every person who is attracted to kids will act on them. Some understand they have a problem and just deal with it.

They need counseling, therapy and help, not dumbasses trying to kill them. Seriously use your head for things other than primitive knee-jerk emotional BS.

well this topic is very personal for me. so im biased. but in america prison sucks for rehabilitation the only thing it does is train them to be better killers and rapists or kill them.

I believe a life sentence should mean life. People can serve a life sentence on death row.. That'd be better

its been proven most pedophiles are re-offenders. that life in prison gives them a chance at parole and life in prison only means 25 years. usually with parole after 5 at latest 17 years with parole. and even if they spend their whole life in prison thats still a lot of money out of our pocket to take care of them. prison isn't that bad. its actually pretty nice.

Innocent people have been put to death.

I don't think anyone has a right to kill someone, unless it's self defense or defending someone else who's life is being threatened.

I'm not allowing them to do anything except live. The decisions a person makes are their own.

They won't have a chance to kill others if they spend the rest of their life in prison.

I'm curious what you think about the fact that people have been executed when their guilt was questionable.

honestly i feel bad for people who die when they are innocent. but i also feel bad when people die in car accidents. shit happens then we die. innocent people have spent life in prison. and by the way people get murdered and raped in prison every day it won't stop some people from killing and raping. we can't fix everything. and my apologies go out to families that lost innocent loved ones. but we can never know if someone is truly innocent or not.

People who die in car accidents aren't condemned to death by their "peers" for a crime they may not have committed. I don't have sympathy for rapists/pedophiles/murderers, but I can't support something that results in the murder of (possibly) innocent people. At least those serving life have the chance fir their (possible) innocence to be proven.

The crimes committed in prison aren't completely preventable. Executing (possibly) innocent people is.

Very few places offer that option and those that do rarely allow it. and it's not the actual execution but the paperwork and policies that cost the money.
