Am I a bad father for not being as pushy as other parents with genius children?

Long story short my ex left me with my two daughters and they aren't just smart the both have the IQ of 115 and growing. To help with their development i decided to move to an area very diversed with multiple cultures and languages. They also have access to a local library and they get to study with some of the students there, with me there of course. I also cook foods from around the world because we live near a kind of Chinatown but with one culture going above the other. I try to make education fun, i trick them into learning new things. But i also don't want them to be so different that they get made fun of or can't make friends. The reason i asked is that i went to a seminar of parents of child geniuses and what i saw was parents over bearing their kids but from what i was told those kids have a high chance of going to college and making a name for themselves, i guess I'm a little conflicted

Children who are intelligent are children, there’s a child with a IQ or at least 150 this child was talking in complete sentences before she was 2…. Profoundly gifted. You cannot shut that thing off once she gets going much less if you give her sugar or caffeine it’s just bouncing off the walls all day.

The problem is that parents force their children to just focus on nothing but education and these kids can become miserable being expected to meet these expectations. Another real problem is they want to learn about what they want to learn about more often then not. So trying to shove something on them doesn’t work out very well.

Let the girls be kids. They will pick on one another and fight. They will play and run around. You can sneak education into thier lives yes. Play games. Teach them new things but kids need a chance to be kids.

To me I can’t stand seeing parents overbearing of their children. They’re ruining their childhood. It’s okay to want them to learn and help them excel but not at the cost of childhood.

this is a hard one for me to answer i understand you dont want to hold them back but you also dont want to be over bearing. what i can tell by what you wrote you are doing the right thing. you are making it fun for them and you want them be happy doing what ever the like to do or accel at. as they get older and interested in other thing you can help guide there future like you are doing. i personally would do what you are doing guilding them and makeing it fun than to see your kids stressed out and unhappy. yes they might not make it quite a fare but there is more to life than just work there has to be happyness also to help make it worth it.
to you i say good job and keep up the good work you are doing with your daughters.

the parents that push there kids to hard to succeed also dampen there will to create new thing. because they no longer see the fun in it. look at all the kids that are pushed real hard do they look happy i dought it. do they have the personal drive to succeed with out love and affection being with drawn when they fail. you have to have the personal drive to succeed not to just please people but because they want to. that is what will make someone successful

Yeah i plan to have them be kids and enjoy what they have and help them be the best they can ever be
