WARNING This is going to be long winded

Just threatening the president is a class E felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871 which mentions:

Knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making "any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States".

So just saying you want to punch a president is some what a crime but
because the offense consists of pure speech, there are rulings to balance the government's interest in protecting the President and free speech rights under the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

So saying what if makes it a hypothetical and depending how much you say it you could end up on a watch list due to the Treason Act 1351, which made it a crime to "compass or imagine" the death of the King. (Can you believe we kept that?) But that's a whole other controversy itself.

Back to your question what could happen is you could be shot, you could be harmed while they try to retain you, but you will undoubtedly be trial for treason with or with out an actual court appearance you are sadly legally safer hitting a police officer with a gun in hand than a president.

I think you need to throw your device from which you sent this question before you get a knock on the door for being a threat even though this question seems like a funny joke... next time don't ask questions like these on the Internet where you are watched by Secret Services despite being anonymous. Every country has their law written, for example UK law is on their website. It's in very technical language - a dictionary will help.
