Captain Obvious, steer clear of recreational drugs. Find a way to release negative emotions bottled up and be proactive in not bottling your emotions. Make sure your mental health is checked along with your physical health. If you are able to maintain physical, emotional and mental health you will be kicking loneliness to the curb.
Learn to enjpy yourself. A good way to do this is to talk to yourself as if you were a close friend. Its easier if you're introverted. Pock up a hobby like reading books or playing video games. Theyre more time consuming then movies and they provide more sense of reward. Doing so will also equip you with something to connect with people over.
I tend to pretend that someone is around me at all times... like... an adult version of a imaginary friend. ... thinking about it, I might just be mad.
you're rather easy to give out your personal infomation on the internet. I could be some 40 yr old dude trying to pull you in you know. I've tried sending you a Skype, though I can't find you on facebook. I'm laura. potts95
Solo hikes and contemplate how shit my life is lol. No one really wants to be alone. But if there's no one that understands you and you feel alone even when you're out with others, then you're still alone. We all seek kindred spirits.
I actually crave being alone. I feel drain if I spend all my day with people. I need at least half a day to be just in my room, in silence, with myself.
With epilepsy, there’s nothing I can do yet to get a job or anything. I typically just play video games and sleep a lot to “get the day over with” as I wait for my parents or doctors to find me a solution. They’re working on it, but for now I’m just waiting...
You just have to enjoy it instead by looking for hobbies or exploring a lone. On the bright side, you're independent and you don't need anyone to keep you happy. Some people can't even stand being alone for a minute. I know you're excited to meet new people with familiar faces but time will come. Just be patient.
I focus on myself. I like to read, work out, cook, play video games, and play piano whenever I feel lonely (like 80% of the time). Just gotta keep yourself occupied.
Lofi hiphop music. That, and a long walk around whatever greenery I can found outside. It clears my head like a dream. Nothing cleans up depression better than a walk with some lofi beats. Effectiveness: 8/10
I hang out with/prank both my friends. It helps because it is really distracting when you're in the middle of a prank war. You don't have as much thought time to be lonely. ... but it doesn't work at night generally.

Pick up more shift at work, watch movies or hangout with friends. Don't do random dating, tried that, no good for no one.

That’s good place to place to start and it helps if you don’t wait around for it to just happen.
I watch Mamma Mia when I'm lonely it's cheers me up, I don't know why it just give me happy feelings inside
Music. It is my savior and I am using it right now even.
Also, I tend to read quotes relating to how I feel...
I don't think about it. though every so often it pops up and I am just get tired of being alone. then I stop thinking about it again.
Sex with hubby & Sleep. Before anyone says anything: Yes you can feel lonely without actually being alone.
I'm an introvert, I tend to be alone most of the time, I honestly like it.

Play video games, hit the gym again, do some photo shooting, surround myself with friends & co-workers from work with a few beers.
There are other methods, but it's a bit too blunt & hateful if I were to expose them.
I find going outside helps and the just talking to people
