Why do cats always want attention when you are busy?

My cats always want my attention when I'm busy. Especially when I'm on my laptop or when I'm eating, watching a movie, or trying to sleep, taking a bath/showering even when I'm sound asleep they wake me up by acting annoying and crazy at night and want to go outside but when I'm not doing anything and want them to come lay by me they don't care and just ignore or and walk off, or run away from me. Is anyone else cats like this?

lol I think many cats are like this. I had a cat once who when I was on the floor listening to my music and singing, would come over and try to join me by rubbing against me. He enjoyed what I enjoyed, even when I tried to push him away from me.

They are testing our loyalty. They are jealous and find themselves regal. I had a cat who used to cine up and knock my phone out if my hand lol.

THats not only about cat. Its all pshycology. Everyone in the world likes attension. you would see sometimes child starts crying if we stop playing with him (child of 3 months). when they get attension they are again happy

I've had girlfriends do the same thing. Maybe cats and girls are much closer related than i thought. Off to do more resarch.🧐🤓

They are selfish impatient creatures, who want food, water, attention when they want it. Like at 3am in the morning. I started putting my cat outside at night so I can sleep

I's because a dog is you friend, a cat will rather make itself comfortable. If the cat feels it doesn't have your attention - like when you're busy - it will try to get that attention 8)

You obviously don't understand how loving, caring, honest, and sympathetic a cat is. Yeah, they act differently from dogs, but it doesn't mean they love you any less. They just have quieter, more subtle ways of showing it to you.

Yes. One other annoying thing is, she won't sit still when I’m trying to use her as a heating pad.
