+1 yI think the context is important - if you have done a significant favour for someone and they’ve purchased something as a thank you then depending on the context and body language it’s given in it could be ok.
However, if it’s just because they like or want to please you then no. They should never be accepted as it’s implying you’re open to something by accepting it. Nothing is free, there is a balance of exchange in nearly all interactions and accepting a gift does give the impression of interest42 Reply- +1 y
Thanks for MHO 😊

Hmm for doing politely, at first u accept it then when have a conversation, you started to said things that u are interesting to him. If he smart, sensitive, he will know what to do next

A little gift is ok. Anything too expensive and you should politely decline and tell him it's not appropriate

+1 yNo. You should thank them, and tell them that you can't accept it because you aren't interested in him and don't want to lead him on. Men aren't good at picking up on subtlety and hints, so the more direct and clear you are, the more likely he is to get the message.

+1 yNo I don't think you should, the man is obviously trying to impress, even though it's by materialistic means which I don't really agree with but never mind that. By accepting the gift usually gives the guy the idea that he has a chance, which is wrong cause he doesn't. At that point you're just exploiting him.
00 ReplyDon’t accept anything from men you are not interested in because there are a lot of psychotic men out there who will take your acceptance of a gift (no matter how small) as an indication of your interest in him. Some not only will get angry if you decline their advances because he will rightfully claim that you used him, but the man may also become violent towards you. Whatever it is, it’s not worth it.

+1 yIn my opinion as a guy hell no, he'll be under the impression you like him and he'll be under the pretense that he's entitled in some way to you and your attraction. Personally I've never been this way but I've seen it happen a multitude of times to both girl and guy friends of mine.

+1 yIf he expressed his interest and I know that I’m not interested then I’ll let him know and move along.
But ! If a guy wants to spoil me with money and then brings up interest on the other hand I let him know I’m not interested but I’ll take gifts.. he agrees? I’ll take it.
P. S some guys give gifts to women with no strings attached (FYI)00 ReplyDepends. If they’re just being nice and aren’t pursuing you then sure. But if you know they want to be a thing then no. I’ve gotten into trouble with that in the past several times when I wanted to be “nice” and not “embarrass” someone. But in some cases it’s better for everyone to be clear and to politely not accept a gift.
00 ReplyNo, you shouldn't if you believe that they are trying to win favour because they like you. You shouldn't give them false hope.

+1 yIt depends completely what kinds of gifts. I give my female friends art and other cool stuff for their birthdays and holidays and that's fine. If it's flowers or chocolate, or if he's asking to buy you drinks, no way.
00 ReplyIf you both know where you stand when it comes to interest, it's fine. He might just want to be nice as a friend, but mostly guys will buy gifts to girls they like, so if you don't feel the same way, don't accept them. I made that mistake.
00 Replyi dont think you should. you know they are only ding it because they like you, so to accept would be to be using this person and i dont thin using someone as a means to an end is ever ethical or right

+1 yIf they are friends and it's your bday or Christmas or another gift giving holiday. Or there's an event you have where gift giving is customary; such as a baby shower or a wedding.

+1 ySheeeeeeeiiiit thats a tough one if it were me probably rejecting it would hurt more then and now but i like that better than someone 'lieing' to me and hurting more later, it's a slippery slope because they care but you dont and if you say you dont then maybe other people might think you don't like gifts yeahh

+1 yNo. I'd feel guilty, I probably wouldn't accept anything from someone I DID like... I dunno I'm weird about things like this. I know plenty of girls who do though.
00 ReplyYes, it was a gift.
It would be wrong to give a gift with an expectation and it would be rude to not accept said gift10 Reply3.2K opinions shared on Other topic. No you should not. There is an implied contract, which is that you have some interest in a relationship. If you do not turn you must politely decline offers of drinks, meals, entertainment, etc.

+1 yWhy would you accept a gift from anyone you didn't care for?

+1 yNo, I will not accept. Not interested anyone and I am happy in a relationship. No ever soon me happy part my boyfriend.
00 ReplyNo, thats greedy and heartless. Let him move on and invest his money and time into some one who reciprocates his feelings.
00 ReplyAbsolutely not. Any gifts are because he is trying to woo you so accepting is unethical. Make your position clear and send him on his way.

+1 yI wouldn’t... even if he understand you’re not interested. Just doesn’t feel right

+1 yNo. it gives off the wrong message to the male that you're not interested in. But if it's a guy who you are interested in, accept the gift.

+1 yIt gives them hope and ultimately it will look like you keep people on the hook just to receive things.

+1 yIt's giving the wrong impression so unless you wanna lead them on and give the wrong impression, I think you shouldn't

+1 yNo because if you lead them on they might expect things in return that I wouldn’t want to give so thanks but no thanks ✋🏽✋🏽✋🏽

Then it's up to you,
If you take the Bouquet and put it in Vase or Toilet seat. 🤣😂🤣00 Reply341 opinions shared on Other topic. I wouldn’t wanna continue to be led on by a girl who just keeps wanting my gifts but secretly isn’t interested in me.
10 Reply2.1K opinions shared on Other topic. Well if they know and still want it.. it's their business, but you have to let them know, for sure, that you're not interested.

00 Reply10.3K opinions shared on Other topic. Never accept gift from a man unless he yo actual dad
00 ReplyThey chose to give that to you. You never signed a contract.
May piss them off but hey, you weren't interested anyway.10 Reply
+1 yNo , it gives them the wrong impression. I refuse to lead someone on that I'm not interested in
00 ReplyNo because when u accept a gift from him that makes him feel that there is still hope..
10 ReplyThe least you can do is be nice with the man before you reject him and tell him to fuck off
10 ReplyStraight no, try to tell them directly that you're not interested, if they insist just turn off their calls.
10 ReplyNah you can just be honest and just open up to them like that you don't want em presents in a polite way
10 Reply
+1 yYeah, they're giving you a gift. You have every right to deny them sex or a date or whatever that gift shouldn't buy you.

+1 yNo you should not as that is leading them on under false pretense...
00 Reply No because that means you are at least somewhat interested, or that there’s a chance for a relationship.
00 ReplyI think keeping on accepting those gifts will gives him unnecessary hope, wich in future gonna be a prb for ya,.
