Have you ever heard of the “crabs in a bucket” mentality? Legend has it, if you put several crabs in a bucket, not one of them will manage to climb out of it because they will be pulled down by the other crabs trying to escape. The crabs in a bucket mentality is a metaphor for a situation in which poor people pull down other poor people and expect them to live through the same amount of poverty and hardship they did.. just because. It’s jealousy.
A mother of 8 is not giving a very good name to the honorable, not as respected as it used to be role of being a mother. Our society is really lacking an appreciation of family, and families formerly consisted of a lot of kids back in the day, but not anymore. The infertility rate of young people across the world is falling dramatically, and in the US not enough people are having kids to even replace the dying population, but people still have hate to vent on mothers who get money from the taxpayers.

She said something dumb however, and it made viral headlines. She said she was “too pretty” to work.
While some people might cringe at what she is saying, she isn’t some lazy woman who has never tried to work a job. For a certain period of time, she worked part-time as a personal support worker. In several interviews on television (not a good idea if you don’t want to be ridiculed for being a mother), she said she hated this job. People found her attitude unsettling and jealous people “resented the fact that she only worked 16 hours per week in order to be able to continue collecting welfare benefits,” according to Boredom Therapy.
I feel bad for her that she has 8 children and she's a single mom
Accidents can happen BUT after you have your first child and you KNOW first hand how hard it is and how expensive it is, there is no excuse to have a 2nd, 3rd etc.
No one forced her to have children, Part of the problem in too many situations today is the no accountability and of course someone will pay for your needs, etc. No one is "too pretty" or "too handsome" to not be responsible for themselves and the choices they make.

She should keep her legs together if she can't work because of too many kids. Where are the fathers? They should be paying child support and spousal support instead of it being welfare that covers her. I will say this in support. Even having four small children makes it hard to work, much less with 8. Child care would be more than she would make and it would be a bitch arranging care and scheduling for school age kids. Taking care of 8 kids is an all day job with fixing lunches, washing clothes, changing diapers, etc. This is another instance of - girls use protection and birth control.
There is the problem that no job she can take will pay her daycare bill. But assuming we get past that one, then she should work. I do not believe in privilege. Or being “too pretty to work”. Assuming she had childcare, And I was a judge, would force her into a hotel maid job or janitor or trash pick up, just to show her that she’s not “too pretty to work”. I’m proud of the royal family in England because Harry and William has the guts to do a normal serviceman’s work in the military and were not “too privileged”.
I agree that taking care of 8 kids is a full time job. That’s why we stopped at 3. And I provided while my wife stayed home until they were school age. She could not wait to get back to work. Honestly, the women handled the show poorly, and maybe the “I’m too pretty to work” comment was made in jest. I’m a huge advocate of paternity tests and fathers paying, unless the woman has legally signed away paternity, then they are her financial responsibility. The father of my nephews pays child support until they are 18 and every father should have to. It would stop a lot of “hooking up”. My son’s girlfriend was adopted by her stepdad, so now he pays.
I agree with none of the above statements. I disagree that she is "too pretty" to work. However... she IS working. Anyone who calls a mother of 8 who spends her time taking care of said kids AND still manages to work 16 hours a week IN ADDITION TO TAKING CARE OF 8 KIDS is a super mom. If you expect her to raise 8 kids and work a full time job to pay for all her finances... just why? I get if you think it's not smart of her to have that many kids as a single mom that much makes sense, but the idea that she is LAZY? No mom that takes care of her kids is ever really lazy. They simply aren't physically capable of it.
This woman is not lazy, she's in over her head. What she needs is a provider. While I'm not a fan of the fact that said provider is the government, I wholly support her efforts to take care of her kids. The statement she made regarding being "too pretty" to work a job is simply false. She's not "too pretty" she's too busy. Maybe she's stressed and trying to cover it, I don't know, but the fact of the matter is, her not working a job has nothing to do with her being lazy, it's called having her priorities straight.
Your point is only true if the kids are well cared for. I bet she's not a great mom. I can almost guarantee it. The information we do have is clear evidence of a long series of selfish choices. Selfish people don't make good parents.
@Chaz269 Well there's an easy way to test it which would be watching the show to see how she seems to care for her kids. I have no reason to assume she's a bad mom and I have no reason to assume she's a good mom. I only assume that she has 8 kids, is on TV, and none of her children are in protective custody because she's a bad parent.
This is a slippery slope. I was raised if u are able to do, then do. And if your not, do TRY. If a person has fallen on hard times and needs some help getting on thier feet, as long as they are willing to help themselves then they deserve a hand. And once you get on ur feet, dont forget to use them to run out for others. I have always had a job, even when I got ahead I still worked. And then I tried to help others get ahead. Becuz I learned to be nice to people when your on top becuz you will meet the same people if you hit the bottom again!
That's some bullshit. And the funny thing is, she's not even pretty, she just opens her legs for anything that walks by so she somehow thinks the attention she gets equals her good looks. She should have been forced to have her tubes tied a long time ago since she obviously can't grasp how birth control works.
She is completely insane, and I'll bet some of the younger kids are being taken care of by the older ones much of the time. None of the children's fathers are in the picture.
Here's the craziest thing- she is considering having a surrogate have more children for her (she can't have any more herself due to having had a hysterectomy).
This woman is a drain on society, with 8 kids that she can't pay for which also makes her a failure of mother and a repeat offender in this regard because she could have stopped at one or two kids. She is a stupid bitch and should have been sterilised years agod.

She is a baby factory.. She is good looking milf.. I would say cut her some slack!.. She is doing 8 jobs of being Mom of 8 kids. However.. She need to figure out a way to financially support herself and be Independent.. So nobody gives a fuck... As long as she can provide for kids.. Herself. She can have 2 more.. Not my concern

Do me a favour and stop watching benefits Britain. It's a veiled attack on the poor taking the absolute worst in soceity and presenting them as the majority. They never seem to show the disabled man who lost his leg 6 months ago but is being harrassed by the benefits office to go back to work or the pensioner who was forced out of her two bedroom council house into a one bedroom ex council owned by a slum Lord who charges the council more than the rent of her old council house.
There was a posting on the news about this a maybe last year.. the Lady said.. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL THESE KIDS. to the news reporter. Im not going to work I have to take care of them.

Interesting, there doesn't seem to be a husband involved in the picture, and the children are all half black. I'm just assuming there's only one guy providing the DNA.
She should have to support the kids unless she has the government do that. I knew if she did work it wouldn't be enough to support those children though.
Raising eight children must be demanding and does qualify as working in my opinion. However, the whole "being too pretty for a job" thing is pathetic and leads people to be parasitical.
