I was born and raised in a big freaking city. Live there for many years. Hated it always did. In the city you have no real freedoms. They are controlled by democrats that kill freedom.
I lost my job. I bought a farm.
Country living equals real freedoms. I can carry a gun into a store and ask whats the best amino you have for this gun. No one bats a eye, calls the cops on you, no yells "Look out the home coming queen has got a gun. Everybody run"
You see it all the time here. Guns are normal here. One time I got pulled over with my truck and my shotgun was hanging in the back window of my truck. Cop never even said a word about my gun. Just gave me my speeding ticket and left.
KNow what else you dont see. Crime there is no crime here. The worse thing might be some teenagers drinking beer.
In the city. Someone alway being robbed, car jacked, killed, shootings you name it. It happens in the city.
Hell the criminals have more ILLEGAL GUNS then the cops. Hell I even know a spot in the city where the cops won't even go to. Why because they get shot at.
That life in a major city
I don’t think I’d like to live in a big metropolitan area like Houston, NYC, LA, etc. Now, where I live it’s technically called a “city” but it’s nothing close to the aforementioned cities above. Actually, you might not even consider a city, more so a town or suburb/city hybrid. So, if by “city” you mean a place such as where I’m currently living, then I’d go with city just because I can still keep away from the bustling traffic, smog, large buildings, loud noise, etc. but still have all of the amenities available to me in a short distance. The country has many benefits too, but getting to important places you need to get to might be less convenient and cumbersome.
As someone who has grew up in the country and now lives in the city. The city is easier to get around in because of transit systems and stores are always somewhat close where as in the country, I had to drive an hour just to get groceries and other things because my small town didn’t have much.
Thats why I love country life. The only draw back is there is only dial up internet available. The best part cells phones don't work here. Almost everyone has a CB Radio in their cars. They are used like a cell phone
We have high speed internet but it still sucks. We had a CB radio back in the 90’s and early 2000‘s but we got new radios for our trucks. Cell phones work where I grew up but we had to drive an hour just to get groceries.
I live in the country. I work in the City. I cannot for the life of me fathom how people live that way.
No one looks happy, they're all so rushed and stressed and just miserable. They have the most self destructive lifestyles I've ever seen.
Country all day.

Country! Because i have to take a break from all the idiots that live in the city who can't function without a phone and internet for five seconds. Plus it's quite, calm and beautiful, very relaxing after a long day with idiots at work who think living out in the country side is dangerous and unpleasant and give you some other opinions about things they never done and never will.
I prefer the suburbs - city-type services in a more spread-out setting with lots of available free parking and still lots of plant and animal life.
But if I had to choose between those two, it would be country life. I don't have a lot of patience for city life, public transportation, awful traffic, homeless everywhere, etc. It has no draw for me at all.
i live on the edge of a city.. great when i was young and lived in the centre and now im older living in the burbs is easier to get on the ring road in the mornings when i have to drive 40miles to work... my ideal is the rural life which is why the house i actually own rather than rent is situated in rural bulgaria and thats where i will end up as soon as i can get out of the wage slave crap
Without any doubt it is country which I love. The serene natural beauty, less pollutions, natural airconditioning, the melodious sound of birds and cattles - a long list can be made of why I love the countrysides more than the noisy, polluted and over-crowded cities.
Both, city while I am a Bachelor, country after I have children so they can run safe and free in the wild, developing their confidence, learn the importance of natural, grown in the presence of clean fresh country air and learn about ecology and grow up in a loving household
I've lived in both, and while I'm looking forward to being near a city again (15 minutes away or so), I will miss the freedom associated with living so far away from the city as well. Also, I'm talking about small cities here, not large metropolitan areas. I don't think I will ever live near or in a large city again.
I prefer to live in a city, but go on vacation in the country.
I'd feel lonely , bored and and isolated if I lived in the country. But it's a great place to go on vacation to get away from all the hustle and bustle in life. It's like a respite from everyday life
I love cities. They can have beautiful architecture and there's always something to do, at least in large cities.
I prefer the countryside though and plan on living there. I grew up in a small town but i've lived in an apartment my whole life which doesn't feel good for me. I love gardening and I love animals and when its quiet.
For me the city can be fun to visit but wouldn't wanna live there.
I'm more on city type because I'm not to fond of country lifestyle and their music. Cities is like you can do lots of things and even enjoy more goodies while in country you barely do stuffs although you can enjoy nature in countries and even quiet spaces then when being in a city
City. There is more to do, more people to look at, night life (even though I never do that. Maybe in the future). No need for an expensive car and gas. Small, cheap apartments instead of a huge house when I'm the only resident.
I live in a country area. It is generally quiet and a pretty dafe place to live. But I love the city! I probably won’t move from the town I live in, but I just wish it was only a short drive to a city. I’m about 2.5 hours away from a bigger city.
City, easy. Nature is pretty to look at, but that's about it. It sucks. Mosquitos, nothing to do, terrible internet and cell service... Much happier since moving to the city.
Country, hands down. Not even because how great the country is, but because of how awful cities are. I detest the crowded, impersonal, urgency that characterizes cities.
I like to live in the country and visit the city.
So generally I like to be where I can make a day trip to a major metro area but not live there.
Have lived in enough of them.
I like the City , in the Country where i live is limited services
i would have hard problems getting medical transportation to
the doctors cause i would be placed under a different County
that would be the same to go Grocery Shopping.
I live alone in the country and love it. I am also kind of a loner though. The biggest drawback is the lack of internet options. I have 5 bars of LTE so my Verizon phone is my internet source.
Country side.
1. Riding horse
2. raise cattle
3. Go off-road
4. Clean air, 0 pollution
5. Peaceful
I live on an island city. Although we have lots of greens here too, I'd like the chance to live on the country side.
I voted city because everything is within range (grocery stores, restaurants, post office, etc.) But would rather live in the country as long as there's a city near by.
I can't stand busy, hectic metropolitan crowds. I prefer a charming, little town by the coast or high in the mountains.
