I think it's kind of dumb, but it's less about me personally and more about knowing that it would really bother a lot of people.
In high school, I was in the marching band, and we'd travel to distant cities and march in parades along with bands from other schools, and which usually included marching band competitions. Our uniforms were full-length and made of wool, so while that wasn't a bad thing for a football game on a November evening half-time show, it was hell during a parade in the summer - and there were lots of parades and competitions in the summer.
When we traveled, we didn't have changing rooms - we had to change on the school bus we traveled in. And when getting into our uniforms, people tended to be pretty modest - but AFTER the parade, when we were covered in sweat and dying to get out of those hot clothes and into something short and light, modesty was irrelevant. People stripped down and couldn't care less who was watching. It's amazing how 2 hours of marching and playing in the heat in a hot uniform can adjust your priorities.
The point is: we changed in front of each other and it was fine. Even if some actual nudity occasionally happened, no one made a big deal about it and life went on. BUT... there are still lots of people who would not CHOOSE that situation if it could be avoided, and in my opinion, it can almost always be avoided. I'm not sure why someone would intentionally create a space for changing that was coed, rather than making separate ones - EXCEPT, I suppose, because of the recent LOUD protests about transsexuals. I think it is insane to cater to 0.02% of the population at the expense of 99.98%, and I think people need to stand up to that radical leftist crap. I suspect that most coed changing rooms are people who are just throwing up their hands in defeat, instead of standing up for what they actually believe in.

I feel that we can either admit that we support segregation based on the idea that men and woman are different, or we can reject it on the bases that those differences don't matter when it comes to getting changed.
I also feel society is more comfortable accepting cognitive dissonance believing both in gender segregation and equality at the same time, so long as the end result is to make women feel comfortable.
-Segregated bathrooms make women feel more comfortable because they're afraid of men they don't know in private locations.
-Unsegregated workplaces make women feel more comfortable so they have more employment options while also not have to do as much work with men on site, long as there are still areas segregated for women on site and that the areas that aren't conform their work environment to make said women feel more comfortable and less stressed.
That's how I feel about this subject, that in either direction it's bullshit that's little more than modern day chivalry that's been rebranded as something else.
This needs to stop.
I do not want it. I know why they do it. Mostly for the inclusion of others. But yea... I'd prefer the bathrooms, where you have a choice male, female or gender neutral which provides enclosed toilets with sink in an enclosed area separated by the walk way to the specific stool.
As long as it has cubicles for people who don't feel comfortable I would be fine with the idea, I have used them multiple times and I'm not that bothered about changing in front of people, if it's people I know I don't care if it's strangers I'm not likely to ever see them again so again don't care.
What Girls & Guys Said

I think it’s fine, I don’t mind. Usually it’s the guys who have a problem with me ripping ass and taking dumps next to them. Men don’t want to acknowledge that women fart and shit more than men do. The biggest problem with changing rooms is that women let the gases fly while men are supposedly more reserved. I know my sisters and I have always belched and farted a lot while we change, and it’s pretty common for a girl to just casually fart while even changing her clothes or fixing her makeup in the bathroom. The gender dynamic with farting usually works like that. A lot of the girls in my college dorm use urination devices to stand at the urinals with the guys. We just fart while we pee and sigh in relief. If all four urinals are taken up by girls relieving themselves, a chorus of farts and sighs can be heard. If it’s just a guy and a girl, usually the girl stands next to the guy and farts while she pees and the guy gets weirded out (and gassed out by the girl’s fart gas). We just don’t understand male bathroom etiquette, because it’s kind of stupid. Female bathroom etiquette dictates that a girl farts when she needs to fart or when she wants to be funny. I’m standing next to you, I’m peeing, and you have your dick out, why can’t I push out a nice, loud, long, satisfying fart? It’s not like we’re at a five star restaurant.
I had a coed bathroom in college. The toilets and showers all had dividers, but there were still urinals and a common changing area. I don't remember it being a problem. Turns out that once you see what women actually do in their beauty routine, it all gets less sexy.
Depends on what you mean by "EQUALITY"? If we are 'equals' why wouldn't there be just one bathroom, one changing room?
I am not at all afraid of being naked, when women can see me. But I think that most women, would be VERY uncomfortable, in a 'locker room' where men could see them, naked.
I Love women, and NEVER want to upset, or offend any, but I often ask, and wonder, how we can be "Separate, but Equal" like they said about Race, in the 1960's?
Not meaning to offend, but make people THINK!!!Since I did not grow up in a nudist environment, nudity has sexual connotations for me. It's not something that I can consciously control. If I see a girl even in her panties and bra, I'm going to "salute" and then they will think that I am a perv. Having a boner doesn't mean that I'm getting ready to attack but they don't know that and we'll all end up in a world of shit!
All these boys that have never seen a naked girl might think it's a great idea but I can sure see some bad outcomes. What a hook up spot. But yeah its about time I'd guess. I think penises and vaginas need to be less of a mysterious fearing part of humans anyway and people need to accept there's men and women who feel like their in the wrong body and what not. So just makes sense I guess. a lot of sex and pervertisms would happen though. I could absolutely see a guy at a urinal purposely shakkng his dick to been seen through a mirror or something for a underageed kids to see and so forth. I just think they need some age restricted bathrooms yeah?
I'm okay with coed bathroom because it's all in stalls. A changing room might be different, especially at pools because you actually get pretty much naked changing in those and that might feel a little uncomfortable, at least while nobody's used to it. Probably people would naturally segregate by gender to different ends of the changing room. But I'd rather changing rooms stay split gender.
Back in the old days 1979 I lived in a Freshman dorm. It was divided into guy and girl floors with open 24 floor policy. Anyway on the weekends some girls boyfriends would sleep over. Some were too lazy to walk down one floor to use the guys communal showers. It wasn’t uncommon for me to walk out of the shower with a guy walking out of the next shower. I hated communal showers and hated it worse on the weekends.
I'd be comfortable with it where the doors are all lockable and the sides are more closer to the floor. It's not foolproof but simply having closing stalls can help. With again more safer sides that are closer to the floor. It could work... But I have a feeling that a woman should help make and draft the final designs of how it should look and function
We had coed bathrooms at Dalhousie and they worked fine. Showers were totally closed in so if you wanted to take your partner into them and fuck they had high pressure showers which helped mask a lot of the noise. They also had separate stalls with very thick walls and no cracks so it was never a problem, and urinals too. Was a lot of fun seeing each other coming and going in the mornings and felt like home with friendly vibe.
I experienced that a few years ago in Europe, at a swimming pool, the changing/locker room and the showers were unisex -- just 3 girls were there at the time and my sexual arousal was the focus for their widened eyes !
It's fairly unlikely it'd work where I come from but there are some unisex saunas
+ clothing optional beaches so you never know !!Aside from urinals, i don't see a reason to have divided rooms.
My local gym had a unisex changing room bathroom and shower. All the private stuff is in a cubicle. The only thing I would change is to have cubicles for urinals.
It saves a lot of space and nobody seems uncomfortable.I wouldn't mind. We already have that sometimes and we have nude mixed saunas so I don't know. Never had any problems with it.
I don't know of any co-ed locker rooms all the locker rooms have always been gender specific, occasionally their maybe a family restrooms for parents with little children and may require both parents to assist their children in the rest room .. so I don't believe in having co-ed restrooms nor locker rooms No one of the opposite gender should see you in a state of undress other then a family member or your SO
I am comfortable with public non-sexual nudity. I would not mind that scenario. Our culture has made nudity taboo. When people engage in one taboo activity, they are more willing to engage in others. As such, I fear that sexual assault would not be unheard of in this scenario.
No. They will receive protest from me. Too many perverts both male and female will take advantage. It is a recipe for disaster. Unless you learn to see each other as equals and not sexualized each other, you will have a problem.
I have that at school,12 th grade, its optional but everyone looks and some have asked, then too I never treat a girl with disrespect, even if were changing clothes. Girls are special, and I love to remind them of that.
I have one (or more) at my school and I like it. I hang out with woman more often so it's nice to keep the conversation going without waiting in front of the door. It also feels nice that it's a place for everyone
I've used coed changing / bathrooms before and i have no problem with them at all
I remember going to B. G. S. U. to basically have a weekend of drug fueled sex with a girl that was so damn ahead of her time.
Anyways, the bathroom was coed showers too. I'm always comfortable in my skin nude is great... just to let that go.. it's so good.I’m pretty sure most ladies would not want to share locker rooms with guys. Unless they are ex Norwegian military.
