Logically speaking they make more sense by saving room because only one bathroom would be needed and in bigger areas the room used to separate wouldn’t be there allow more room for facilities. The level of privacy would be the same with there still being stalls for people and there could be a divider between the urnals and sinks to stop any looks. So since coed bathrooms make sense, at least to me, why aren’t they used.
1.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It's a cultural thing. In a culture where there are zero guys raping women in bathrooms it could work. That's not modern western culture.
I think the Italians have a good compromise. They have it so hand washing area is shared or you can see from one gender area to the other for hand washing stuff but the toilet areas are gender specific. This is good for security too because most likely 99.9% of the men aren't trying to rape anybody and those guys can see into the women's bathroom if a weird guy is there.

1 yThe University I attended had them in a few buildings. I used them. A few times I came out of a stall to see a woman and have to double take before I remembered that it was gender neutral. Never had any bad experiences in the gender neutral restroom, and never heard of anyone having a bad experience with them.

1 yLiterally doesn’t affect me.
My penis isn’t going to shrivel up or my masculinity going to suddenly decline from the sight of a neutral / mixed / whatever else bathroom.
It is a place to do your business with your gender obviously so, who the fuck cares? Women have their own bathroom, men have their own bathroom, there are family restrooms that have a single toilet & changing station…. So why the fuck would we care about gender neutral or mixed or whatever. We have disables toilets too!

*I don’t care. It isn’t hurting anyone.
Anonymous(18-24)1 yMysoginy, it turns out. It used to be like that in America. Gendered public bathrooms only became a thing when women started working more outside the home, and people who were angry about that pushed and got them banned from public toilets. Then people got public lady toilets built, and women ended up working out of home anyway, but the gendered toilets stuck around because they became enshrowded in the sacredness of "gender" like so many naturally-genderless things do...

u 1 yNot a lot of people, mostly women, would be ok with that here in the US. It's just a safety thing. Probably why people freak out about transwomen, but make no mention of transmen who look like men completely. I personally don't mind as long as the stalls are floor to ceiling with no gaps for people to spy on me.

1 y👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 YAAAASS!!! ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY!! My only input would be make it all stalls, men can't hit the fucking urinal anyway and just leave a mess. It's never made sense, and it never will make sense to have separate bathrooms! And while we're at it, make them the type where the sink water is above the tank so you can wash your hands and not waste the water.

But without urinals, we can't have great comedy like this:

26.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I went to college where they had co-ed bathrooms and there was never any problems. However, there are a lot more crazy people running around loose and we have millions of illegal aliens too. I do not think it is such a good idea given the current climate.

1 yi think it increases the chance of having a creep in the bathroom with you for everyone. just like accepting men in the womens bathroom and vice versa just so these confused people finally shut up. it's not a good thing, cause they will never shut up.

1 yIf you have a penis you go to the men’s restroom, if you have a vagina you go to women’s restroom. This isn’t that complicated and it shouldn’t be confusing to anyone. Biological women AKA real women do not want biological men in the restroom with them and I don’t blame them.

1 yI think it's a great idea. All bathrooms in our homes are gender neutral. Gender neutral bathrooms are nothing new, remember Buffy on TV in the 1990s? And that might reduce the complaints about who can use what bathroom.

No, because people outside your home are NOT your family members. You know, in life, we have certain boundaries. Individuals have certain boundaries. People have a right to their boundaries, and those who want to social-engineer a new society of their own liking do NOT have the right to demand that those who do not share their vision be forced to give up their boundaries!

There’s a difference in sharing a bathroom with friends and family over a total stranger.

1 yI went to the city and they had these all gender bathrooms and it was fine. A lot cleaner and I didn't expect I always heard men are gross in bathrooms, and it was men and boys saying it.
00 ReplyHonestly it shouldn't be a thing because people always blur the line to do things or make excuses with. It's easy for someone to get harassed and it assaulted (and more frequently). It can make other people uncomfortable. Let's keep it separate so it can give people a peace of mind and safety.

00 Reply We already have unisex bathrooms already its just not common. Mainly see it in small businesses that don’t have the space to have 2 bathrooms

00 Reply2.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Do you know how long women take? Bad idea, bad, bad, bad
00 ReplyI don't mind. As long as both people are respectful, as normal people are lol
10 Reply1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Do without any with urnals all together. Have only stalls and raise the seat when you finish. That way those who try to pee between the seat and pees all over the seat, won’t….
00 Reply3.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The reality is, they've been around forever. The other reality is if you've got to throw a giant dump you don't care where you go

1 yIf the restroom only one toilet/urinal, it's fine. But if they are multiple stalls in one room, that's bs.
