She's 4 so her sister is 12. Literally just add 4. she is 16 and her sister will be 8. exactly twice as old. she is 3 and she is 9 just add 3 and you will have 6 and 12 just another example of how easy this question is. 10 and 30 add 10 one is 20 the other is 40. See the pattern here? Don't need not a single piece of advance maths for this. Literally just add the age of Emily.
They go overboard with this in school with 12 + X thing but that's really not needed for this.
