Good taste!
Mine was older, but it was also better than the 3rd Gens, at least performance-wise...

I bought mine used in 1998, and in late 1999, while parked at a friend's house, a big pickup plowed into it, and that was all she wrote. But I got some track time with her, and that was glorious!
I called it my A-Wing, as it reminded me of the A-Wing fighters in Star Wars.

I had a 1996 Toyota Tacoma that I loved like this:

It was the second car I owned (the first was a used Honda Accord) and I got it during my senior year in high school. I gave the first to my little sister.
It didn't have the best gas mileage at only around 19-20 miles to the gallon, but it was very practical for me since it allowed me to easily move out of my mother's home with all my stuff to go to university out of state, and later after I graduated to my first job which required me to move and drive to the opposite side of the US from Durham, North Carolina to Los Angeles, California.
Also while I was in uni, I liked to participate a lot in backyard construction projects building vert ramps and mini-ramps for skateboarding, so the truck was handy for transporting a lot of construction materials.
I actually did own this in response to the update and actually, it wasn't my dream car. My dream car is like some hot convertible sports car. But my Tacoma pickup truck was what I got instead and it's the first car I used to travel all over the country. I only drove the Accord routinely to school and back and little things like buying groceries. I even slept in my Tacoma. So my Tacoma was like my first real love.
I need to increase my knowledge of cars. I feel like, as a guy, I should know way more about cars. But I don't so much. The one thing I can say in favor of my Tacoma is that it never broke down on me even though I put so many miles on it. I never had to take it to the repair shop. I did with the Accord but probably because it was used (the brake pads barely worked).
As much as I love my plug-in '18 Panamera Turbo Hybrid, my 2 old Mazdas always find a place in my heart. I actually tuned them myself and personally work on them if they need maintenance & repairs. I don't let anyone else touch 'em except for my hubby, siblings & parents.
I never owned one myself, but my fav was my mum's Land Rover Disco. A real fun car. That is, when it wasn't being repaired! Had so many things go wrong, she got rid of it and went back to Jaguars.

1978 VW Scirocco.
My favorite is the new toy I picked up back in March. 2010 Camaro SS, 6 speed manual, 6.2L LS3 V8, Darth Vader edition (gloss black from top to bottom) - Hennessey HPE650 package (Magnuson supercharger, ported heads, Hennessey cam, upgraded injectors, long tube headers, Borla stainless exhaust, suspension upgrades, and custom 3 piece Hennessey wheels). When I found it, the previous two owners had only racked up 3600 miles on it in almost 11 years. I drive the shit out of it :D
One of my first cars was a '63 Buick Le Sabre two door hard top, with a 401cu V8. It was dark blue with a white top. My dad gave it to me. That car rocked. Ultra dependable, roomy and comfy. I had some great times in that car. I dubbed it The Bizmark and pictured the Ride of the Valkyries song when I drove it.
My favorite car, though, was a highly modified '72 El Camino. I pictured the song Highway Star by Deep Purple when I drove that one.
After that, I drove company cars for 30 years. I'd get a new one when I reached close to 100,000 miles, which took less than 2 years. They were all decent cars and were basically mine. The company paid for all gas and expenses.
I have a low mileage re 2007 4WD Rav4 now that I like a lot. It's comfy, has a sun roof and all the bells and whistles.
My Nissan Quest. It might sound strange but it was 20 years old with over 200k miles on it when I bought it and it was even then the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned, cost me the least to maintain, was surprisingly good on mileage and shockingly strong. I drove 1400 miles down Rt 95 at mostly 95mph with a full load of 2500 lbs in the back (moving to Florida) and it never hesitated. If anything it didn't want to slow down. It was also the most comfortable and ergonomic vehicle I have ever driven.
I've owned almost 80 cars. They were all very old, especially since it was a long time ago when I owned them.
I had a 72 Chevy Cheyenne pick-up that I really liked.
I loved my 73 Olds Toronado - I could drive 80 on the highway and it felt like I was sitting still on my living room couch. Out of all my cars, that's the one I regret selling.
I loved my VW bus / camper. It was great for traveling. Got good fuel economy. It was comfortable to drive (with some mods). Best of all, when I was ready to stop for the night I could turn down any dirt road going back into the woods. Find a place to park, pull out the bed, pull the curtains over the windows, and have a nice sleep. I would totally love to travel like that again - beats the hell out of a car.
1961 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner, convertible. Bought it used in Syracuse, NY, and drove it for a year while in the service, before putting it up while I was in the 'Nam. When I got back I pulled the tired old 390 out and dropped in one of my old 427 SOHC NASCAR race engines with the BW 4 speed. Beefed up the chassis, took it to a body shop to clean up any dings or scratches. That was the fastest street car I ever owned. I buried the speedometer at 135, had a special speedo and tach in place of the old one.
Never owned any myself
Out of my father's cars, speaking as a passenger probably the 1994/1996 Volvo estate he had for a few months
He had a lot of problems with it because it was a dog by the time he got it in 2012 and it was uneconomic to repair from the radiator leaking over the alternator to the missing rear prop shaft that prevented it from being a 4-wheel drive but as a passenger a winter in heated leather seats was bliss
It had been well kept until the second to last owners allowed it to fall into disrepair after not using it.
It's paperwork revealing it was owned by the Swedish military for a couple of years before it's UK importation ownership by a wealthy doctor given the money poured into it through the 2000's was well in excess of £40,000
My 77 chevelle. It was left to my by an uncle. He died when I was 10. And I got it when I, was 15. It was technically my second car. Lol. I purred like a huge kitten. And you could hear me many blocks away. It was midnight black and had all black interior. And it was my favorite car. It was just to exspensive to take care of when I was in Germany and couldn't do it myself. So I tild my father to sale it. And it was sold with in a week. Man I miss that car. When I cared about taking girls virginities. It was the best car to use. I was a young kid. And my first love and I used that back seat a lot. Lol

I've never owned a car yet. But this was my favorite vehicle type thing I've ever owned. Sadly, it got stolen last year.
(that is a pretty sweet car, looks like a little spaceship)
It was a 1974 Ford Cortina. It was built like a tank; great car, and very safe. It had good gas mileage , and it saved my life when I had an accident; I would of kept it had the mechanic been able to true the frame back up; very minor damage, the only real damage was the front part of the frame being bent.
My 1st generation Ford Escape. She broke down on me, unfortunately, and I had to give her up because I didn't have the money to keep fixing her long-term. She's still alive, though, and she's currently being taken care of by my brother's friend, so that does make me happy. No offense to my current vehicle, but she's the best I've ever had. I will always love her.
I feel it. And I hope your current vehicle does its job just fine. I hope it does. Mine does.
@IAMNathanael Thanks, man.
I had a 1990 Chevy Blazer. It had a 307 V8 with four speed manual transmission. It was the perfect size for an SUV. It was big enough to carry everything I needed to bring with me but was not hard to handle like the Suburban. It had a solid front axle and was really tough.
option 1 was my 2003 Pathfinder. 6- CD Changer. heated leather seats.

and my present..
Out of them all it would have to be my 05 Chevy Impala , I was the second owner of that car and it didn't even have 65,000 miles on it...
Best car I ever had, great on gas plus it was a V6 ...
Close second would be my 06 Dodge Dakota , V8 Magnum under the hood... got rid of it because of engine issues after I already sank nearly 600 dollars into the engine , couldn't afford another fix on it...
Not a Super Sport just a standard model with the shifter on the steering column which made for a lot of extra room
I think the older ones are and it's hard to fine any now since they don't make them anymore to my knowledge
I owned only one car which is a Renault Megane Classic 2002 and i still have it...
Before the financial crisis of my country, i wanted to keep my car and buy a Grand Cherokee 2015 or a Range Rover Supercharged Sport edition 2013 but sadly our currency dropped down a lot in front of the U. S dollar and now it's impossible to buy such 4×4 jeeps since they cost 20k dollars and up...
From 2 years a 1$ = 1.500 LBP
Now a 1$ = 13.500 LBP
So for now i'm just happy having my car 🙂
Owned: BMW E46 M3 Convertible
Driven? Tough call, maybe a Ferrari GT (Carbon Fiber factory built race car - not street legal)
I had a love affair with this one:
A two-litre Ford Escort Ghia, which was written off 40 years ago after a drunk retard from a welfare housing project when through a red light and hit me.
If anyone had been in the Escort with me, they would have been killed.
1997 jeep cherokee, ran that beaut to the ground. No ac, but I miss waving to similar cars on the road. I rolled her once and she was still the little engine that could. It was a fun time.
Beauty is her name. Dodge Dart SXT
The one I'm driving now. Tesla Model X.
A cannon ball on wheels, that always smells nice and is deliciously silent and perfomant.
I liked my Nissan GTR but my Bugatti Chiron that I have now is my favourite.
This is GaG so obviously I'm bullshitting.
My current car is my favorite.
I had a 1990 Honda CRX Si that I also loved. I regret selling it. I would love to still have that car it was so awesome.
This one..
@bones0271 Agreed. Mine is mostly stock, but instead of about 700 hp at the rear wheels, its just under 1400. Sadly it scares my wife.
I miss my 2015 Chevy Malibu. Such a good car, she was.
They WERE good cars!
That would be my Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v EVO I that I currently own but is off the road now
Never will know since i don't plan on ever having one.
i had a Mitsubishi lancer touring and i loved that car 🥰❣
That's what I had as well :)

Audi Q7 W12
I use to have an Audi R8. I traded it in for a Ferrari 488 GTB but I REALLY miss my old car.
Had an old school jeep liberty that I totaled, that thing could do anything... hell of a vehicle
Not sexy but a Volvo 850 TDI estate. Funnily enough, it's the only one that the kids still talk about too. Gone but not forgotten.
1949 VW BUG
I believe that was a 47 or 48. And my 49 bug is a right hand drive.
Nissan Primera 1.6. 14 years old and gave me no trouble until a van drove into it
Is that a Toyota? Well I've only owned one actual car that was mine. The other one was an old Chevy Lumina 1999. They don't make never brand models. Currently the one I own is 2017 Hyundai Elentra.
My first car was a 1984 Toyota Crown (rare in the US). I bought it in 2007 and sold it 2 years later (unhappily). I miss her up to now!
1967 MG Midget, lemon yellow with spoke wheels, convertible.
I miss the Red 1988 Isuzu impulse I had years ago, was fun to drive and fast, I also miss the 1980 Camaro Z28 I had also
Mine was an MR2 too. A little older than that one though.
Oil changes never bothered me, but I like working on cars.
Mine was a 1991. Nautical blue metallic with T-tops... first year of the first streamlined model when they got away from the boxy shape.
I have a classic Corvette Stingray convertible that I love, I've had it for years.
What year?
From 2009-2012 I owned a 08 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with a 426 stroker
1988 Mazda 626 Hatchback with a manual transmission.
VW GTI VR6. Quick as hell with a 6 speed stick. She was so much fun to drive.
80 Z28 and believe it or not, my 2003 honda odyssey... and whats fuck up is i got my ass in my van then my bitchen Z28.
My Pocket Rocket: Toyota Celica GT Coupe, 5-speed manual!
i would love to own a ferrarri or a mercedes or both
My jag yes sometimes gave me issue but you can't beat the style and the comfortable ride
Favorite was an AMC Hornet
Second fovorite was a Datsun 200 sx
A 1967 Olds 4-4-2 convertible.
Of the three I own, my 4Runner is my favorite.
I love mine! It’s tricked out ;)
You’d probably like it. It’s a beast off road!
Get one! What’s stoppin’ ya?
Still might be able to source one somewhere that likely has just been sitting in some old gal’s garage. Worth a try!
It’ll take a while, but it will be worth it. ;)
