Am I the only one who feels that way?

When I was 17 I started following the Kardashians and Jenners, I was always a huge fan of them. Then as I was scrolling through their Instagram I started to have this body insecurity. Why aren’t my boobs as big as Kylie’s, why isn’t my ass that big, how did they get to have such a small waist.

I then noticed the amount of likes they got, and I be like if that’s what most guys like maybe I should go for plastic surgery to do a full body change. I had this thought that since many guys like it means that good men will expect me to look like them. I started working out at age 19, and I started cosplaying, I used makeup. I finally got the attention from people, more guys were checking me out, even girls! I remembered getting some guys and girls to take a picture together. So this is what it feels like to be a little famous. A guy who is a little younger than me said “you looked so gorgeous” that’s when I started blushing. But still the attention wasn’t enough to make me drop the idea of getting plastic surgery. I still didn’t like what I saw in the mirror even after putting in all that effort working out. Then I found out that those celebrities I followed and loved so much they all had plastic surgeries. I decided to unfollow them. At age 20, I gained 10kg, and I did workouts which focus on my upper body as an additional to abs and booty workout. I finally developed curves my boobs went from a 30B to a 30D. But still it’s not enough I be like “I think I need to have rhinoplasty.” I asked those close to me what they think of people getting plastic surgery to look good. They said only stupid people do that. I pretend to agree with them, but deep down I don’t. I read online about surgery complications and that’s when I stopped wanting to get work done on my body. When I think back to why I wanna get it done, it’s not because I’m doing it for myself but to attract a good man who is marriage material.

That’s why never compare yourselves to other influencers and celebs on Instagram. Since filters and photoshop are used to change their looks. Social media isn’t reality
