Sounds to me like it already has!! I was just outside on a bright sunny warm day in my shorts and bare feet yanking dandelions and the radio I heard across the street had that fuckwit, Bruce Springsteen playing, "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town"!! That must mean they're already playing non-stop Christmas music!! And that will stop DEAD Christmas night at the stroke of midnight!! How plastic can you get?
As far as I'm concerned, it starts around the 2nd week of Dec. and lasts until at least 1st full week of Jan!!!
Up until about 20 or 30 years ago, nobody had their tree up until a couple WEEKS before Christmas and they kept it up until almost miid Jan... Radio never started playing Christmas music until about the 1st week of Dec. and, at that point, you got a couple songs per day. By the 2nd week, you got at least 1/3 Christmas music. They never started going 24/7 until the week OF Christmms or at least a few days before, then they'd gradually cut down on the Christmas music until about the 2nd week of Jan. when you were lucky to hear any at all until the following Dec..
This is one of the reasons I never listen to radio anymore; I don't want to be thoroughly SICK of Christmas 2 months before it even gets here!! Nothing like destroying the season for everybody just to please the few idiots that want to go overboard on it!!

Thanksgiving Day.. 11:59AM.. EST. Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. When Santa Clause comes to 34th Street NYC.. This is when Christmas STARTS!
FIGHT ME ON THIS!
This makes me sad, honestly, because now we know that Matt Lauer was not the man he presented himself to be.
@Jamie05rhs Matt is a tool...
Unfortunately, yeah.
In the name of consumerism, it starts at the stroke of midnight on Halloween. You blink and it suddenly changes from black and orange and pumpkin all over to red, green, and jingle all the way! And the poor turkey is left in the oven, forgotten once again.
December 1- and not a moment sooner.
Let's get through Halloween and Thanksgiving first people! I get so disgusted when I go to the store now and see there's already Christmas stuff out... since October! Y'all need to stop!
I used to love Christmastime. Now they put all the Christmas stuff out right after Halloween... makes me hate Christmas season... ugh...

The twelve days of Christmas span from Christmas Day to Epiphany (on January 6.) The four weeks before Christmas Day are called the season of Advent.
The winter solstice starts 18-21 December.
Ancient Celts have a 12 days festival starting from 25 December to January 6th.
The anchor point is the Solstice (sun stands still).
a number of Neolithic stone circles etc align with the winter solstice.
In Ireland there is Nollaig Mór - Big Christmas and Nollaig Beag - little Christmas.
Also under Celtic traditions it was celebrated with fire, hence lighted candles and various fire festivals.

In the Christian religion, the twelve days of Christmas are December 25 (Christmas Day) through January 5. Most people believe that the twelve days begin on December 12 or 13 and run through Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
The celebration of the season in the United States begins immediately after Thanksgiving, with all the decorations and lights going up. So two of your choices are correct, depending on which observance you are speaking of.
The 12 days of Chrisrmas! The end of Christmas is 12th night, 5th January. So counting back, it is Christmas Day. The following Monday is Plough Monday. That is when ploughmen and other farm workers blacked their faces and wore old jackets covered in tatters to keep them warm while they danced in the local villages. The start of Morris Dancing.
I always treated it as after "Black Friday" (which is an accounting term by the way), the day after Thanksgiving, but that may be unique to the USA.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/neJorQci-wIin here... it starts around December 12, which is when 8 to 12 million Mexicans go to the Basilica of La Virgen de Guadalupe to sing her, happy birthday...
and the weekends, before and after will be all for celebrations, parties, posadas, holidays and more.. till January 6th... and one more of February the 2nd
Advent - which actually started as a way to remind Christian groups of the Second Coming, not the Incarnation - begins four Sundays before December 25th.
Christmas itself begins 25th December until Epiphany on January 6th - unless you're Orthodox, in which case Christmas Day is January 6th.
Of course in retail it begins just after Easter...
Bella for me it begins December 1st and no sooner than that. I know that's not true for the stores because they start putting out Christmas stuff even before Halloween. I don't like that but it's been that way a long time and it seems to start earlier every year.
😊🙋โโ๏ธ
When I decide I need cheering up to the extent nothing else will work (so I put my favourite Christmas film on) that I put the last 20 minutes of "It's a Wonderful Life" on, this year was a low point... following a bad February Christmas started early lol
Iโm with the others in thinking Dec 1st.
Keeping major holidays in their own months gives them more meaning.. especially with a few days break in between them.
Right after the last 'trick-or-treat'er has come and gone.
I actually helped my mom put up her Christmas tree today!!!
As early as possible so stores can sell more stuff :D
I think around November start of December. I'm not a big fan of winter so Christmas is one of the few things that makes it better. So I enjoy the lights and everything.
My family starts decorating and starts listen to Christmas songs the day after Thanksgiving. Then on Christmas Eve, my parents allow me and my siblings to open one present. We open the rest on Christmas at around 6:30 our 7am.
It used to start the day after Thanksgiving... now decorations are up after Halloween.
@beebella
Question: are you Asian or Latina?
Some of the words you use hint towards Latina but your eyes hint Asian.
The most Asian people I've met in south America are Peruvian because there was a large influx of Japanese into Peru in the 50's to 70's.
I'm just curious.
You don't have to answer, of course.
Based on when Christmas shit starts to hit the shelves in the UK it's August 🤣🤣🤣
Normally Christmas begins on the 24th.
For me though, Christmas begins after I pay off my credit cards due to Christmas.
Getting ready for Christmas starts on the first day of Advent. Which is usually about four weeks before Christmas. And then you have the 12 Days of Christmas with goes from December 25th until January 6th, Epiphany.
The first of December or the first Sunday of Advent, whichever comes first.
After Thanksgiving. That's when I put the garland and lights on the front of my house and set up my Christmas tree. Before that is far too early.
Preparation for Christmas begins on the First Sunday of Advent. Christmas lasts until the Feast of the Epiphany.
Christmas is made of two major factors.
The spiritual X-mas (sic!) begins on 24th December (preceded by Advent).
The commercial X-mas (sicker!) starts some time in August.
My preference is the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend. NOT the middle of October like in some stores... LOL
The day after Thanksgiving. Some people start putting Christmas lights up at the start of October, shows how prepared they are lol
The day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday).
Same if you live in countries outside the US, as well.
My best friend used to tell me I made every day Christmas so what starts now LOL
It starts right after Halloween according to Walmart and certain local stores. I'm already sick of listening to Christmas songs.
Black Friday thats why everyone shops for Christmas gifts well use too when the economy was decent YEARS ago.
Stores have been putting up Christmas items before Halloween. But in a practical sense, let's get past Thanksgiving first, please.
If the world was ruled by common sense? After Thanksgiving. Nowadays it seems like it starts after Labor Day.
Whenever I get motivated to take the tree out of the attic. It's usually some time after Thanksgiving
About two weeks before when every store is crowded and traffic starts picking up 😒
aside from Christmas itself, I genuinely hate the holiday season 😂
The season of Advent begins when my pastor says so lol.
25 December for Catholics, Protestants and new calendar Orthodox Nation and 7 January for the old caldendar Orthodox Nations
Well shopping begins after Thanksgiving but Christmas starts Christmas Eve it seems
If home depot is anything to go by then its in the middle of October apparently lol
For me though black Friday makes me feel like Christmas has begun
Holiday Period - December 1st
Christmas - when kids break up for Christmas
As I am from India, it starts like 5 days before of Christmas.
When does the Diwali season start?
December first seems reasonable for preparation for the holiday
Christmas morning for me. And it ends the next day. I don't like Christmas. Bah humbug.
on the first Sunday of advent this year is November 28
I'm already listening to Christmas music on the radio
Black Friday !! Except when it comes to my girl, where it's Christmas time every day! LOL
This year it was the day after Labor Day.
Iโd say 13 days before Christmas. 🎄🎅🤶
Wtf? I am sure I typed twelve. ๐
sorry meant to tag @loves2learn
Bakers dozen x-mas! Hell yeah! Canโt stomach gin anymore. Badddd experience.
@Andres77 Of course a man can dream.
@loves2learn Thatโs a shame on the gin.
I love grapefruit juice with vodka and a salt rim. Salty dog!
My neighbor gave me navy strength gin when I was already a little tossed and what followed were sever hours of the worst full body hiccups I have ever had. Even a whiff of gin now and I feel nauseous. We tried EVERY hiccup cure we could think of. That was the first time my uncleโs drink water upside down cure has failed me in over 30 years of doing it.
Iโm having a bloody mary with boozy olives and a beer chaser. ๐
Nope. What is that?
Michelada in a can is made by Budweiser and Modelo.
It's usually in a 24 oz can, it's a mix of clamato and beer and spices. Usually about 5% alcohol.
If you get it in a Mexican restaurant they will ask you the kind of beer you want. The rim will be covered with a mild pepper and salt mix.
Some restaurants will have include 6-8 shrimp around the rim... SOOO good.
Yuuuum. No habla espanol. ๐ I ordered clamato juice arriving tomorrow. And I have michelob ultra. Shall I mix them? ๐
@Andres77 Micheladas with salt and shrimp, really sound good. I draw the line at green olives maybe the unusual taste is better with the anchovies. Iโd try them.
@loves2learn Sounds almost like a mixers reaction. Awful!
@dustybiker your โI draw the lineโ
Comment reminded me of south park. Apologies. Lol.
