Found a moth, how cute is she?

It was on the corner of the foot path

It's an emperor gum moth. They only live for two weeks. Unfortunately the one I found has a broken wing so I've placed it in my works garden to rest and be sheltered by the wind. They're very beautiful and soft though.

I made an educated guess. Males have skinny bodies and smaller wing span. This one was fat with a wide wingspan. It's not that deep.

Usually how it is with insects. Males are usually much smaller.

Legit thought it was a giant leaf until it moved on its own. Went and grabbed my boss and she thought "giant moth" can't be that big. Walked out onto the foot path and I was like you see that thing on the corner that's it. She nearly ran to it. The fact you could see it from nearly 10m away.
