When's the last time you "REALLY" felt Happy?

Well thats really a great question.
I think now I have realized that I am the sole owner of my happiness and I do everything to keep myself happy.
I am always happy, except few times when I really am out of control.
For instance I am giving so many interviews and today I received rejection from almost all the companies. I felt sad for a while but then now I am pretty normal, listening to Edward Maya's Stereo love, Numa numa 2 and almost dancing while I am typing my response. We all deserve to be happy and eventually should learn to do that.

I know thats a difficult path I am talking about but its not impossible.
Music and motivation makes me happy. I do meditation frequently for 10 minutes a day to keep my mind close to my body.

Happy? Sailing on a 3 masted schooner with like-minded youth. Bringing a teenage girl from the depths of a nasty sea, and bringing her back to life. Winning the track championship at my home track.

But the most important times I've been truly happy, the day my betrothed and I gave our vows and married. When my two children were born, watching them grow into adults, watching as they made their way through life, doing what they wanted and being successful. When my two grandchildren were born and watching them grow as well.

There are other times when I've been happy. Not as much lately because I don't have female companionship to share my life with.

I try my best to just be content in life and count my blessings, even if sometimes it's hard (and last year was extremely hard).

However, the last time I felt elation was probably whenever I bought my house. It's my first home of my own and it was incredibly exciting! I am very in love with it.

Other than that, I typically feel happiest when I get to spend quality time with family, friends, and pets.

I also had a really great day a few days ago because I was very productive and got a lot done, plus I got to spend time with my cats and watch The Golden Girls marathon on Betty White's birthday!

I’m never super happy or super depressed but the last time I was happy was when I read an email from a friend, nothing special in the message, but I always feel happy when talking to people I respect and like. Also I felt happy when journaling my goals for next year and achievements from the previous year.

I'm a pretty happy guy. I don't let things bug me too much. Plus, I get to have lots of fun from time to time.

But maybe the last time I was REALLY happy was when my wife surprised me with a birthday gift in 2000. I got to go up in an open cockpit, bi-wing airplane and do aerobatics. It was one of my bucket list items. The thrill of a lifetime.

Probably early teens, before I got shot down the first time and realised how socially inept I was and how unwanted I am when it comes to romance. Now most days are just a baseline.

Could probably be happy again, but as that would require success in the dating world I'm not holding my breath.
