It's zed, obviously. All the civilised English speaking countries pronounce it that way.
Sadly, Americanisms are bastardising the language for the coming generations as their uncouth influence is increasingly spread through their use of media, internet and movies to corrupt the Queen's English and our native tongues!
That’s right. Get it out!
In the US (American English), it's B.
In the UK (British English, it's A).
Both are correct.
From my experience, a Brit will understand either one, while an American will understand ZED, but will have a bit of a problem with it.
Since I'm American, I selected B. But as said above, both are correct.
bit too men. We pronounce it bite too men. That's just a weird word you see on tar products. We just call it a paved road or black top.
I say "zee" because 'Murica, but I know it's "zed"
And that is a "pinstripe donkey" and I'll thank you to address it as such.
Zed. I’m British. It’s Zebra not Zeebra. The only time I’ll say “Zee” is when I’m talking about Jay-Z because that’s his name.

If "correct" was "zed", then that animal would be a zedbra, and we all know it isn't. And you don't go to see animals at the zedoo. And when you sleep, you don't have a trail of ZedZedZedZedZedZedZedZeds.

I'm sorry that they taught you incorrectly at school, but it's pronounced "zee".
A bee goes buzzzzz not buzeeeeee
Obviously I pronounce Z zed because i speak traditional English, America is the only English speaking country in the world to use zee, even most of Canada prefer the use of zed over zee.
I once used Zee at an eye test, embarrassing my mum. Too much Sesame street, she said.
I'd use it if someone introduced themselves as Pee-Zee, that's a name, and I respect people's personal choices.
Zee if you're American/Canadian or from anywhere else in the world that speaks English.
Zed if you're British (or possibly Australian) and use the Queen's English.
In school when we were taught the alphabet for the first time, we were told it's zed
Are there people who actually call it zee? I didn't know
A is the only choice - nothing more annoying than ZEE bullshit , its NOT ZEE !!
English language is just that.
Z is for...

Zebra. Ever since I can remember. Thing is, a zebra donkey cross is called a "zeedonk".
That would make a great GaG handle.
@dustybiker Yes, it would!
I was taught in school it was pronounced zed. Then again I guess that little band from Texas is Zed Zed Top when we call them ZZ Top.
Zeeee bra here let me show you look.. can you. Zzz this .. your not looking over here well i dont know what you zzz in that bra. Do you zzz what i mean
Depends on what I'm saying but generally I pronounce it zed but if I say Dragon Ball Z, I say it as zee, Zebra with a zed sound but obviously not the full sound.
There you go:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/y4qyPIuPLWEI’ve always pronounced it Zed, it’s how I was taught at school. So I don’t know if there’s a right way or wrong way on how to pronounce it.
If I am speaking in person or even on the phone, it is z. If I am conversing on the radio, it is zed.
Never had I ever heard a Z pronounced as zed. Seems oddly wrong.
Despite my European life, I am still a Zee. All the Zeds in the world could not break Zee.
I'm going to pronounce it zeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee just to piss you off
I say Zed because that is what I was taught in kindergarten. I didn't knew people even used 'Zee'
I pronounce the Z like said sometimes but other time like sea
Zed. If I would say the alphabet. But I watched so much Dragon Ball ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Y'all are stupid that's a tired N taking a rest, leave him alone. Z see he's sleeping.
Zea, rhymes with day.
It is pronounced Zea-bruh (rhymes with the name Debra)
Voted "B" but really it depends on who I'm talking to. I can pronounce it both ways. If the person is English/Canadian, I'll pronounce it as "zed". If the person is American - "zee".
Zee but using it phonetically it’s zed because it sounds too close E when used in amateur radio and government agencies like the police over a radio
"Zulu" for me, as in the international spelling alphabet. I trained as a pilot, and this is the way I was taught to pronounce the letter.
On some weekends, Zulu.
In the International Radio Alphabet, Z is Zulu!
Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta... I used to be a ham radio operator... LOL...
And Universal Coordinated time is referred to as "Zulu"...
@ArrowheadSW ITYM Greenwich Mean Time! ;)
@ArrowheadSW Charlie Oscar Mike Echo Oscar November Yankee Oscar Uniform Tango Whiskey Oscar, Sierra Tango Oscar Papa Foxtrot Lima India Romeo Tango India November Golf.
@Bel88 OK you're funny! LOL... I was in a store once, and there was a guy shopping with his wife and I don't think he was enjoying it. He walks past me and looks at me and says, "Bravo India Tango Charlie Hotel"... 😂
@ArrowheadSW LOL.
Zed
as in zebera
Don't you mean Zedebra
@20yearsolder no, the Zed part refers to the pronunciation of the letter Z.
With my accent, we tend to roll R’s , this gives the overall sound different to southern English
Pick a Z word, and it's still Z. Z doesn't change it's sound.
ZED it is even though here in the states everyone calls it ZEE
zett. but that might just be the german genes xD
In swedish we pronounce Z like " sehta"
Zed. I'm English therefore pronounce it properly.
Zed. I've never heard it pronounced as zee.
Zee in English Zed in French
It’s zed and I’m British.
zee. or maybe zeeeeeee
Do English people really call it a Zedbrah?
Zed is the name of the letter the sound is like bees buzz
So why do you have two different spelling of Zebra?
They're the same. Unless you're saying Sehbra is correct
zed is how i pronounce it usually
Either or, depending on who I'm conversing with.
Both ways, depending on the context.
Wait, what kind of cat is that?
Whoever came up with Zed is one pretentious fuck
@purplepoppy You're a terrible person
it sure ain't "Zedbra"
@Red_Arrow They don't need one. No curves.
you do know you're a troll, right?
Is Zed a new pronoun?
