+1 yI believe it is completely ok to cry. It's not necessarily good or bad, but anything that helps to express how you feel at that moment is obviously better. It's a good thing to get part of emotions off you. Whenever i feel like crying i just cry and it actually gives me temporal relief from all the frustation, anger that i have for something. I think that crying is not a sign of weakness, but a sign that you have been strong for too long! Its ok not to be strong for a while! Its ok to cry! And it proves that you are going through the process of accepting these emotions rather than keeping them in. Crying is not just a word which describes sadness. I believe crying is a most natural emotion which we all sometimes go through. Tears define many things like fear, sadness, anger (sometimes) and sometimes happiness too. Crying alone within a blanket is one of the soul satisfying thing. It often feels relieved crying alone on some issues. Crying gives power of motivation, rethinking and mental peace to a person. I often cry on somethings and feel relaxed after that. I find crying a type of exercise which I go through once in two weeks or so. I also have heard that crying helps in cleaning our eyes, so by that point also crying can be beneficiary. So for mind, heart and eyes crying can be good.

I agree 200% with you, I used to practice it daily few years back and it did wonders, and life has been a living hell since I stopped my routine of crying 4-8 minutes daily before sunrise

+1 yDefinitely. It's the natural way our bodies release all emotions, not just sadness. People cry when they are relieved, sad, hurt, angry and even happy. Women cry while saying yes to a marriage purposal, people cry at weddings and parents cry when their babies are born and all three are joyous occasions.
I believe it's healthy and extremely necessary to cry. Honestly, it's pathetic how limited or taboo crying is, especially for men. Controlling or changing our bodies natural physical reaction to emotions is just absurd and goes against human nature.11 Reply- +1 y
true
+1 yYes 100% it’s okay to cry.
it’s natural and normal to have some emotional outlet at times.
Bottling it up can at times be very counterproductive.
Any guy saying it is not obviously does not live in the real world or has a bunch of fuckwits for friends.
example, daughter or son on life support in a hospital, they are the love of your life. The doctor asks permission to turn off life support, there is no chance of her recovering.
You would have to be a callous cunt not to cry after that.
I've seen full on hard ass guys with a lifetime of serving in Parachute Regiment, Marines and other units, cry at weddings and funerals.
it has zero to do with being a guy, it’s a natural human emotion.30 Reply

+1 yCrying, when not being used as a manipulative ploy...
is your subconscious 'relief valve' for extreme emotional stress.
Crying is WHAT YOU DO when you're overwhelmed, ... when you deprived of OTHER active options, ... beyond mere anger, when your faith & trust has been abused & betrayed, when lashing out physically to release tension would accomplish NOTHING but SELF abuse (aka punching a wall, doing yourself physical harm like cutting) Remember, 'YOU' are the ONLY 'you' you have--- respect THAT. <3 ; )00 Reply

+1 yAbsolutely! It's really good to release those emotions. I scream when I'm angry. I'll break old shit I no longer need. It's good way to release everything. Being a teenager is hard. Everything your feeling is normal. I know it's confusing at times and you don't know what to do. Just remember this. Take a deep breath and count to 10 in your head or out loud.
31 Reply- +1 y
Thank you. I tried to do that, but it's when I'm angry. I practiced how to be patient when my mom keeps nagging at me, and because it's bad to talk back to her, I hold my emotions and try not to burst my anger. So I went to my room and take a deep breath and... my gosh, it's so HARDDD~ But I'm glad I didn't shouted at her because that would be really really rude and disrespecting.
+1 yI can’t. I haven’t cried since I was a child. I often wonder if the dam should ever break. If the deluge would wipe the sorrow from my heart , and the pain from this world. The misery is great I doubt that it would help much. It has been over 45 years since I shed a tear.

it's like none of your business, When my late Mom went by ambulance when
she was really sick with back pain I was crying and the dam paramedic woman
said to me Sir don't cry, It's like who and the f***k are you to tell me not to cry
that's my Mom and so said, that was the last to see Mom, went over to the
nursing home to see her, she had a catheter in her, cause her kidneys were
failing her, seeing her hands had this makeup appearance on them well 4 days
later she passed away, from what I understand, she passed 10:30 a. m. but the
a**hole nursing home didn't call me to 1:00 p. m. to tell me.00 ReplyMy best friend/sister said it’s ok and really necessary because if I try to hold it in then things will keep bottling up, I’ll be a really angry and bitter person and have outbursts. But I don’t have many people I feel comfortable crying around or them even knowing. Only her (my bff/sister) and her mom
10 ReplyNot only is it okay, it's necessary. It's an involuntary physical response that rids the body of excess chemicals producing too much cortisol. Crying aids in lowering your stress, that's why you feel better after a good cry.
Everyone should be crying when their body wants to, it's good for you.00 Reply1.9K opinions shared on Other topic. To be honest if i cry that means something is touched me very deeply and I hurt inside and if she was going to come from my face I'm going to allow them to I don't care what anybody else thinks in that moment I will become so selfish because whatever has just happened is killing me inside and I hurt and I will cry if that's how deep the pain is
01 ReplyOnly in private. Weakness amongst men is repulsive. This is a rule men must follow, and women tend to heed. There's no measure of conscious reflection that can wholly override this truth. Men who present any form of negative emotions are perceived as defective men.

It's like a wolf or a lion picks the weak animal of the herd to attack because it's an easy kill. People turn on other people in their time of weakness, it's a million years of survival instinct we are trying to fight by being decent to one another. People love to kick you when you're down instead of helping you up. Especially if you're a man. You are not considered a real man anymore by those who are unable to put themselves in your shoes.
I want to cry, but I'm so numb I laugh or get angry instead.

I feel the same. I experienced it one time and I was really confused. One of the special person in my life died, but I didn't cry. I was just quiet. And I was disappointed in myself. So I decided to be at least be quiet all day and not eat, it's at the least I can do for that person. I wanted to cry, but there are no tears coming out from my eyes.
- +1 y
I don't know. I only started experiencing this after seeing my parents fight in front of me, also when I encounter the people I know shouting at each other... I was raised in a peaceful environment. So I find it very traumatic whenever I encounter people fighting, especially those who are special to me.

The good thing about this is that I am open to my parents about what I felt when that happen. I told my parents that I experienced panic attack after seeing them fight, and that I was really sad about that. But of course, they get together again after a few days.
+1 yYes. You're suppost to let your emotions. Its ok to cry sometimes whether you're upset, angry or even going through anxiety. It's good to let your emotions out. You don't have to cry in front of people if you don't want to, you could cry in private in peace like in your room.

You're still young. Plus, it's still pandemic, I don't think you'll meet someone at this point. Don't lose hope. Some people get married at the age 30's or almost 40. If your friends already have their partners, don't feel pressured about it. You just have to wait for the right time. I'm sure you'll see someone, unless you're the one who keeps pushing people away from you even though there is already have a chance :\

From what I learned the reason why we teared up when we cut onions is because of the onions (gas (?)) when we cut it. It goes to our eyes which is.. ARG, NEVERMIND. I don't know how to explain it because I don't know it's terms.

I also know a story:
There was a girl who can't cry. When she get's hurt, she laughs. When she cut herself, she just laughs. And her parents are worries about her. So her parents hired professionals to heal their daughter, but they did everything, and nothing changed.
One day, a man volunteered and told the parents that he can heal their daughter. The next day, he went to the girl's house and brought a basket that has a knife on it...
Guess what he'll do to the girl?
He cut onions in front of her. Now the girl can cry!
