Why do older guys try to talk to 20 year olds?

I’m doing retail right now and a few older guys have tried to get my number.. like this one 47 year old tried to like what do we make y’all feel young again or something 😂 it’s so sad and predatory in a way even though it’s legal.

People have different thoughts and perceptions some people are searching for love and not judgement which younger people do offer.

And there's always gona be that maturity level gap with same age people.

Something's works better with age gap not necessarily with the age range you mentioned.

But you have the freedom of expression and you are an adult can say no and the guy can move on with his life.

Its ok if a older women talks to a younger guy but the opposite makes everyone feel that the guy is creep.

If you look nowadays there are more couples were women are way more older than men.

The mindsets differ as people age maybe women get boring for those old guys now it's just there wish to ask or talk to someone but not harass in anway.

Its not predatory if talking to someone and initiating sonething was predatory all men would be considered are predators as they talked to women or young people.

Honestly not supporting but just stating there are a lot more girls who are not even legal but want to date guys on there 40s it was weird for me to see that as well like wtf.

They wait till they are legal or like at least in there own minds or mature enough to consent by their own wish and these were the girls that approached the guys.

There is a tendency with women to fall for older guys.

If you say age gap should be considered for dating or something then everyone should be dating only thier age and not even a year less or more they have to be resticted to pool.

But it's not possible population isn't devided like there is a girl to boy with same age and same numberous.

Well in the end it just comes to consent honestly to both men and women.

Whether you like it or not and 20 years old are old enough to say no i guess? if they don't want to talk to them.

And mostly the 47 year olds are almost polite or have manners in asking because the steam would have been almost blown off and at that age people search for mostly serious relationship

They are adults and you’re an adult. It’s not like people can only talk to people within a certain age group. They were obviously interested and if you’re not interested in someone simply because of their age then just say that. But this is a really nasty attitude towards it, there’s nothing sad or predatory about it.

Is the answer to this question not self-evident? Women tend to look their best around that age and men are generally visual creatures. Plus, that is around peak fertility for women so there is an inate attraction to that from an animalistic sense, even if that man has no interest in having children. Lastly (for now, there might be more if I put more thought into it), yes, men like the thought of being able to beat out younger men for the affection of a woman so you might phrase that as making them "feel young again".

Simply put, as guys age, our maximum age we are interested in goes up. But the minimum age we are interested in hardly budges. So we generally find girls in their 20s attractive till we die of old age.

Wish it wasn't the case, TBH. Girls in their 20s get way too much attention, both good and bad, meaning it either all goes to their head or leaves them embittered by the whole thing by the time things balance out later.

Honestly I don't really get it. Sure she might be legal physically legal. But a 18 or 20 year old mentally is still a kid. Then again I did very much have the kind of childhood that forces you to grow up very fast. So I end up feeling like a father or grandfather talking to their kid or grandkid when I talk to younger women.

I’m turning 26 this year and highly jealous of women your age. I’m considered an old hag to most guys now. I’ve never received male attention, so to know I was invisible from 18 to now and will be from now on sucks. I know my chances of finding someone are low because my looks are fading (as guys claim). If I knew at 20 that it was my prime age, I would’ve bettered myself then. I never knew until recently guys prefer women 18-24. Utilize your prime, find a good guy and appreciate others who recognize your beauty (respectfully). I’m only telling you this because I wish someone told me at your age and now I’d do anything to start over.

In this site you will see many MANY guys with the belief that when they are older, the hot 20 something year olds, will want them. Why? Because they will have money, a car and other stuff and that's what's supposed to be enough to attract you.

The man that made a move on you was one of them, now older when his fantasy was supposed to materialize and... ups. Turns out it doesn't work that way.

there was this one guy a few years ago who was old and ugly he kept hitting on this woman who was working in cosmetics and she was so uncomfortable around him i felt sorry for her i kept thinking guy you're only embarrassing yourself and she's not comfortable around you get lost quit embarrassing yourself. it got so bad i had to walk up to her and ask her a question which forced him to stop talking to her and him to walk away. and i could see the look of relief on her face when i did that
