Cost to have new mulch applied to flower bed around house in your area?

I just got an estimate that it would cost 1700. That would be just for mulch and not new flowers installed. It is not in bad shape just needs a some fresh mulch. I feel like that is high so just curious to see what other people are paying.

No way okay so your high grade mulch goes for 30 to 40 bucks a yard
So what's your square footage what size of area do you have 10 ft long 2 ft wide 4 to 6 in deep

OMG do it yourself. I did when I lived alone. Buy bags of mulch from a home store (Home Depot), estimate how many you'll need, and maybe one of those wagons with 3 wheels to dump it in and carry it around--and get a shovel or smaller instrument to add it to your flowers and arrange it around. That price is too, too much. I also had some college kids do this to my flowers around the front and back yard--they were grateful for the money. Much less than what you think.

I do all my own gardening. It’s super easy and enjoyable. Just go on the internet there’s so much information on blogs etc that will guide you. I am a penny pincher and I save on everything, anywhere I can. Just make sure you follow instructions on what to plant and where.

yeah that does seem high, but like everyone said, it depends on labor costs where you live, how much area they have to cover, and anything else. So it might actually be a fair price. by the way, nice new profile pic. Lookin' fiiiiiiiiine. hehe

I just did it myself a scoop being 10 cubic ft is upwards of 65 plus delivery charge per scoop. So I instead hauled bags from a store where they were just under 3 bucks, more mulch for half the price. Anything you can do yourself do, you will save so much money

It depends on the size of the area getting new mulch, how long it will take the worker (s) to lay it down, the grade of mulch, and how far they have to transport it to you home.
