Depends on my income, comfort of home and location of the home. I ain't paying 20,000 Dollars for a simple apartment. I will rather build my own home with help of my dad as he is Engineer and good in designing interiors.

The most I've paid for rent is 1800 a month. Never had a mortgage. Once I was ready to be a home owner I just paid cash.

Well my first ever mortgage cost £850 pm.(UK) but that was almost ten years ago.

Fortunately now with my husband being an architect who designed and built our home along with the other five very bespoked properties on our private exclusive estate we are now completely mortgage free.
