When/where/whom did you fail to make laugh?

Share your story when u tried to do or say something funny but nobody laughed... it can be around family or friend kr public or maybe on stage etc... anywhere whenever whoever... how awk or embarassing it got after that

Context - I started shaving my head a while ago.

One day at a family dinner my aunt mentioned that I'm in better shape and asked me how do I keep motivated to work out.

Without thinking I responded "Well I don't want to be both bald and fat".

I thought I was being funny.

What I forgot to consider is that both my dad and my uncle are on the heavier side and bald.

The heavy silence that followed is impossible to describe in words. What was worse is that my cousin (my uncle's daughter) realised why the joke wasn't well received and started uncontrollably laughing her ass off.

She was the only one laughing (at the situation, not at my "joke"), which made it so much worse.

I never wished the ground split open and swallowed me more than in that moment.

oh well... happens all the time

but this is even a thing... there's a lot of times in which I say something that just bombs, and this is the one thing that makes everyone laugh, anyway

It happened a few times when I used dark humour in front of my mother 😅 She's like ''May God help you'' while I'm laughing at my own joke 🤣
