What was the first award you ever received in your life? Do you still have it, and where do you keep it?
My first was probably a bronze band medal. I played clarinet in elementary school and we would have these school vs school competitions, and you'd go in and play a piece you'd learned and the top three winners for your instrument would get a medal. I do still have it tucked in a drawer with all my other band awards.
