How did you feel when you realized you could no longer remember the voice of a person that passed away?

I generally have the memory of an elephant with things like this. What bothers me more is that I don't have a way to hear it on a regular basis. You might know a good song note for note and can think of it in your head, but it's different to actually hear it. That and apparently, I have a knack for imitating voices.

If I'm to be completely honest though, I think it's just better to remember the things that they said and make them your own.

especially not their laughter and when I would have them cracking up, and literally rolling down on the floor, and that just makes me smile nowadays, great times...

Yeah my grandfather. however what helps me remember still is that his voice sounds exactly like Bill Medley's of the Righteous Brothers. super deep voice. So i just listen to one of their songs and boom i remember again.

I have been lucky enough to not have seen that many people pass away. My Father did in Sept 2019, but I have hundreds and hundreds of hours his voice recorded on his thoughts of religion, life, and philosophy so I can play it all the time

I miss hearing my late mother's voice/ late grandparent's voice the list goes on and it's sad when I forget what their voice sounds like

My grandfather died recently and I can remember his voice but I don’t think we have any recordings and I hope my memory lasts

I have memory issues, so I this has happened to me several times. I felt bad about it, but not much worse than the flat state I'm mentally in 24/7. Its sad, honestly, wouldn't wish it on anyone.
